I never heard of a MOD that asks for confirmation before self destructing units, so I made one:

Download

Unpack the file in your MODs folder and enable it in the MOD Manager.

Its UI Only.

V2 Changes:

- Fix some issues that sometimes self destructing was not working.
- Added an option on interface options (only during the game, and need restart to update changes) to disable/enable the confirmation like vanilla.
- Now if you have no units selected and press ctrl+k, it doesn't asks for confimation anymore.

Yes, removing the countdown will not make it ui only.

You allow me implementing it into the nomads ( with credits to you, of course)

er....cause I already did, and I also managed to remove the 5 sec countdown :D - not UI only, not even possible as it is exactly defined in a sim section

Yes, no problem.
Yeah, I also removed the 5 sec for testing, but it can't be ui only.

Just to report on this, I ran into the Suicide Confirmation not working in a game last night, so that even though I got the query and clicked yes, the window just closed but no suicide command was ever issued. I tried so many times I could, selecting all the stuff on the screen with ctrl-c, and always the same, confirmation but no suicide. It finally issued the kill command after I started selecting stuff with double click, like pgens then mass storages etc. This was too late in that situation though, a Monkeylord had already reached vet 5 from all kinds of building kills because they just wouldn't suicide. I hope the reason for this could be found, as I can't unfortunately trust this mod now, and even if I wanted, use it as getting that order issued every time without fail is more precious to me.

Sorry to be a boring nitpicking anal (bleep), but I reccomend for the sake of grammar you change the message from 'units' to 'unit(s)' at the end.
