That is all the mods that i could get out there are 520 in there with a few that could not be recovered. bare in mind that all them toke me 18 hours to get up for yourselves and that just the mods. Yes maps are still been worked on as we speak theres a lot of them current status is 921 done out of 2,514. Yes the map editor is in it and will be done after maps. I don't have the replays yet but i have ask gpg for them.

Due to fact that there are several versions of each map and mod (ie. 3-7 different folders for same map except incremental number in it) and files inside the folder are all in a weird file format, I began an internal topic with fellow, former GPGnet volunteer admins and Servo. We are currently in process of discussing internally on how the maps, replays, mods and such should be distributed. Needless to say that if one mirror provides this, next mirror provies that and third mirror provides something in between them, users are gonna get completely lost and wondering why some mirror has this, and another does not. Therefore I would suggest, and only suggest, that any of the mirror providers shouldnt do anything else for now.
As soon as we (GPGnet volunteer admins that is, not GPG employees) or anyone else have something concrete to share with everyone on how to split the archieve in a correct format (ie. how to make sure everyone shows it same way), we'll let you know. We should have something solid up at the beginning of next week, right after easter is passed.
Obviously, it's up for every individual mirror provided to choose whether to work something out together or go on solo. I most certainly know that reddev continues his manual work over the maps and mods, but what could you expect from a user who is not a team player.

valk 1st if u ever looked at the post in the 1st place you would know that if there anythink wrong with them they can report it and i can check to see if there are anther version of it.
Everyone has to have it installed exactly the same no matter how its packed and if u ever looked at how they are packed you would see that me spending over 18 hours to get them packed up for that user can drag and drop them in and start playing. which is how it should be done in th 1st place.
Valk how can you say i am going it alone when i had no knowledge of this even going as you set this up and failed to contact me and tell me about it!!! i not just spent over 20 hours on this so far just to be told that i am doing this alone. You knew i was doing this and yet for over 6 days now you never sent me 1 single message asking to see if i wanted to help? Oh and ya if u ask me in teh 1st place i would of help and still am willing.
Well been a single member of a team. Servo never told me who else had it so i had no choose but been slated cause you never contacted me/refused to do so is perfetic from a GPGnet Volunteer admin.

Its great to see so much effort being put into life after GPGNET by all involved, this was a game worth playing and a game well worth keeping. I would like to say thanks to all helping with this project. After discussing with reddev this situation he has made it clear that he would like to co-operate with this endeavor and would have done so from the outset had he been informed. He has also stated that he would like to host a complete library of maps/mods contained in the vault without issues of duplicate files. While I'm not defending reddev at all, stating someone isn't a team player is a fair call specially if he wasn't picked for the team. If you and your "team" have decided to do this, and that's great and I'm all for it but saying that reddev isnt a team player in a derogatory manner I think is beneath you given the fact that he wasn't aware of it at all. This is neither the time nor the place for a flame war and for the good of the community, which I think, is why we are doing this after all, we should get this thread back on track. Play nicely children

I must also state that reddev asked me what is the priority ans how maps should be name for FAF, so he is a team player.
We've got a working vault running, and I don't see the point of doing anything different that we are currently doing to be honest.
We've got a working script to parse all the scenario.lua and repack the maps correctly, I just need time to download the FTP and adapt the script to that packing.

FYI valk my mods mirror been up for a while and so far over 136 poeple have already downloaded the all in one and thats does not count for the Individual mods links which have over 2,000+ downloads.
So if you don't want to confuse the gpg downloaders even more like you say you don't want to. Theres not much you can do really.
Should of included me in the "team". 6 days = 139.79 GB in bandwidth

It really doesn't matter if you have one (1) working vault mirror up and running and few people have downloaded stuff due to bad downstream, and you have a nice script to parse it through; When there are soon several mirrors more up and running as well, there's going to be chaos in order. But sure, if you feel that your system is better and everyone else can be in anarchy, so be it, not that I care at this point (I just stop'd caring, so insert carebear here).

There are other people going to mirror this? news to me. So far it seems only Reddev has been the one who has gone out of his way to make hosting these files a reality.
But apart from "internal discussions" do you actually serve any function any more. I suppose you stopped caring once it stopped being about your ego.

Lets not start a flame war here, for that feel free to use other forums. I'm cleaning up related posts to that.
This topic is open for Vault Mirror discussion only.

There are number of people who has contacted GPG-Servo about their desire to mirror the Vault. For them I can't speak anything about why they haven't gone online yet, but me and other former GPGnet volunteer admins are pulling it together to get some organize over the chaos those files are currently in with multiple versions and such. I rather wait a few days to get it in decent order than go all out with random stuff or start doing too much manual work. Those files aren't going anywhere; Better get it right from the start.

I'm happy to announce that the FAF map vault is currently adding all the GPGNET vault in addition to all the newer maps done by the community. BE AWARE THAT THE FAF VAULT IS ONLY PROPOSING FA-COMPATIBLE MAPSAll maps for vanilla are filtered. The repository can be found inside FAF lobby, or directly available here : http://www.faforever.com/faf/vault/maps.php(outside FAF, some functions will not work, like broken map reports, votes and comments). For those you are not familiar with it, we have a big map preview with mass, army and hydro spots available by clicking the thumbnail. Some mirrors of the FAF vault will be up in the next few days (with an auto-sync for new maps), and available directly for the user in FAF ! If you are willing to make a mirror of the FAF vault, please contact me in PM.

There is none. This is not the purpose of this vault. (to propose a way to vote for map, report broken ones,....)
The complete vault if 4.463 go zipped, with a lot of version of the same maps. This wouldn't be a good idea to download and put it in your map folder all at once (more than 2700 maps).
Also, new maps are regulary uploaded, it's not frozen in time.
But maybe a FAF vault mirror will propose a pack.

File size is not a problem to me personally, i have 100/10Mbit connection i could download 5gb in less than 15 mins at full speed its a bit crud if there isnt a direct way to get all the maps, whether there split into smaller downloads or made available as a whole. good job on the hosting anyway.

This is a vault, not a crude repository of files I don't want people eating the bandwidth and so reduce the experience of "real" FAF players.
