I have the retail version of the gold edition for SupCom + FA in DVD format. The FA key successfully activated BOTH SupCom + FA in Steam.

What I think needs to be ascertained is if the keys for the retail version of standalone FA (i.e., non-gold edition) are valid. It appears that they are not.

Mine wont redeem either. Support says I can only register it in my steam library, and not get the steam version of FA... Wow... Just... Wow.

Its happened for a lot of my friends, that they just went to like redeem their codes in steam, and it activated the steam version.

At least not all the keys work.

@brandon007: as already said, show Steam support the post made by GPG-servo and also contact GPG-servo for clarification.

The retail version itself is not supported by steam, no. However, you can enter the retail CD key into steam, and redeem it for a Gold edition (vanilla and FA) on steam. Of course, this will be patch 3606, and not the retail version which would be 3599? i think? anyways. different versions. Steam will (or should) accept the retail CD key.

They are meant to regrads of how u got it now but steam will using 3603 not cd 3599.

I showed them the post Servo made, No Change. The Key Format I have is unsupported by Steam, and most likely never will be. Atleast, thats what they say.

Are you trying to use a retail Supreme Commander key, or a Supreme Commander: FA key?
I've heard that FA keys worked sometimes when regular keys didn't. But the FA key activated the Gold edition on steam (aka both fa and sc1)
Do you remember how you acquired your copy of supcom? amazon, impulse, etc?

I got the FA Version. Much more better then the Vanilla SupCom. I bought it brand new right from Amazon.ca... Quite a few years ago XD

Both of my friends redeemed their codes, and they got it from amazon too.

So, with a few FA keys not in the batch sent to steam, what are our options? Will they be put in eventually (ETA?). Or should we PM someone here with our key to have it get sent over?

Thought I'd had an account here before. Been playing supcom since it came out, never posted on the forums? How strange of me.

I have both supcom retail box (vanilla and Forged Alliance). Both cd keys are XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX. Forged alliance key was not accepted by steam, but vanilla key worked. Vanilla and FA are now in my steam download list. A bit weird that FA key didnt work...
