I think its 3606 from steam. Isn't 3603 the previous version? The unsupported beta or whatever?

steam uses beta 3603 pal, i think, there isnt an official beta patch 3606,

Anyways, I have the steam version. And I have never had the retail version. Would that cause a desync? Are you using the steam version?

Maybe you should get the steam version. Apparently you should be able to redeem retail CD codes on steam.

This has been proven false. Retail CD Codes do not work.

And it has also been proven true. One of my friends redeemed his. Actually, two of them redeemed theirs.
Edit: Just look at steam forums under Supreme Commander. A lot of people have managed to redeem their codes for a steam version.

I don't understand... It has desync'd every single game for me. Is there any way for us to play a game together? LAN/IP maybe? That would show you a desync message

Im starting to think there is a major conflict between our versions of supreme commander.
That would be the cause of the replays not working. I know that one for sure. I couldn't view yours either.
Sure i'll test with just DMS. But have you looked into upgrading to 3603 by trying your box CD key in Steam? Running the same versions would be helpful. Also I think the majority of players now either play on Steam or FAF, which would make the older patches outdated.

I do believe that the Steam patch contains 3603 code, and is very similar, but among other things, ive heard it had balance changes. If they changed one thing, why not change more?

can we just confirm a few things...

you and your friends are all running the same version of FA
none of your friends have a scd mod in there gamedata folder that you do not have
and vice versa..

and last which your going to test later for me...
the desync occures when only dms is in use..

Yes we are all on the same version. For my friends that did have a retail version, they registered their keys in steam and now have the Steam version, and run that. I just bought mine on steam when it was on sale.
So yes. same version.

I have already asked them to check their /gamedata folders. Trust me, i've thought of it
I got screenshots from all of them, confirming the gamedata folders only had one foreign object in it, dms effects.scd which I assume is necessary to use with DMS.

I haven't had a chance to test with just DMS, but all of my tests have been just DMS and 4DC. So it is not caused by a mod authored by someone else.

Wow! Finally a possible solution to this long-plaguing problem! Alright, I've already done a few of those steps, but i'll set it up just how he says to do it later. I feel like this problem is finally getting somewhere.
