Hey. I was thinking of purchasing this game, but I don't know if there is noob players anymore. Is there? And how much active people still play online?
There's no point for me to go to play agains "big boys" and get torn a pieces.

Hello! Two things come to my mind:
1> Yes, there are still new players coming to this awesome game. (I joined the community over a year ago, and still considers myself new!)
2> There are many veterans who are willing to help you out! Try installing Forged Alliance Forever http://www.faforever.com/?page_id=114, go online, and see for yourself. :D You can start playing on FAF right away by simply hosting your own games and invite friendly people to come.

If you play the Steam version of the game, using the Steam matchmaking menu, then you will find that noob players abound. I occasionaly play on Steam instead of GPGnet or FAF, just to see how things are going over there, and most of the players are definitely of the new variety.

On FAF(unofficial Client~Made by an FA fan) there are many many really good players. It's hard to find noobs there and your rating will show how good you are.So if you lost your first games it shows a bad rating and you'll maybe get a kick from some hosted games.

When you've the Steam version I just can say that.

When you've GPGnet then you are in the heart from SupCom,SupCom:FA. There you will find all what you need.(Maps,Mods,...)
On GPGnet you won't find many good players anymore because most of them left to FAF.But there are still some good online :)

And just to say.~

You can play with the GPGnet or Steam FA on FAF but when you've Steams FA you can't play on GPGnet.(You can use your Gold edition CD-key that you entered on GPGnet to get Steams FA).

And please don't come with **** prince you aren't correct with FAF.
Erad1cator Feel free to check FAF out.

Thanks for good reply's :P

Is it the best option to me to buy Gold edition of the game and try to get it working with steam. Or does it automaticly work with steam, if I buy the game now? I read some threads and some people talk about not having they're box version to not work with steam... Or did they mean xbox?

The retail version of the gold edition should work with Steam.
