Been away a while. Picked up SupCom again, and remembered all those mods I couldn't live without. I found most, but Area Commands . . .
Was Goom's area commands ever ported over to FA or replicated? I've tried Seiya's Area Commands4 (Carpet Bombing) and though I can get the mod into the mod manager to enable it, it seems to have no effect in-game.

Lurkily is back. 1st sign of the apocalypse. [EDIT:] Pretty sure someone did resurrect the area command mods. I know I've poked at them from time to time. [EDIT:] http://code.google.com/p/healthandmana/ ... mmands.zipTurns out I had a copy on my code host. I don't know if it's for FA or not. [EDIT:] I labelled it FA when I uploaded it, so it should be all good.

Hey, I'm not that badass. (Yet.) Not really really back . . . just poking around, trying to find some things. Right now, I'm hanging out at a text-based RPG site run by Tandem Games, heavily involved over there with community management, and also involved to a degree with design. (contributed a great deal in the past, but that content is taking a long time to see implementation, so my ability to contribute more design ideas is a bit hampered.) The site is Domain of Heroes. ( www.domainofheroes.com) Not exactly the kind of high-performance stuff most SupCom fans would find fascinating I'm afraid, but I'm soaking most of my time into that community. Anyway . . . if anybody knows of a mod permitting widespread issuance of area commands all at once, I'd appreciate it. Losing that mod is almost enough to make me want to go back to Pre-FA supcom.

Check my editted post lol. I would normally suggest you look at my former pride and joy, but I left it in a slightly buggy state.

I checked that one out. I actually found your listing of mods on my initial sweep for stuff I remembered. When loading up a skirmish, it starts off with a flickering screen, and freezes the image on the minimap. Though I can hear the game progress, the screen remains stuck on a fully zoomed-out minimap.
In my initial sweep, I actually picked that OKC mod up, actually, though I haven't had a chance to play with it much.

Lurkily by any chance did you remove the space in the Area Command's mod folder name? Doing so causes the flickering issue you encountered.

I couldn't make it show up in gamedata, or gamedata/mods, so I extracted the file into the FA directory/mods. (Yes, I forget the exact name of FA's directory.) The mod directory name contained in the .scd doesn't appear to have a space, only an underscore. Hello, Legion. Yes, I'm back and poking around, but I'm staying in my armchair this time, you Kitten of the apocalypse you. EDIT:When I wrote this, I was thinking of Seiya's work, which I spent most of my time trying to make work. D'oh. I went back, and tried this with the more 'classic' area commands, and made sure to remove the (1) from the extracted directory (found more than one, one was for SC vanilla) and presto, chango. I can't believe I forgot this. It's always the simple things you forget, isn't it? Good to see some people still remember my name. It would have been four years this March, so I kinda expected to come back with all the status and prestige of a newbie crawling out of the gutter to ask about cheats and hacks. I'm a bit busy to keep up with a lot these days, but always willing to give feedback if you want to point me at a thread.
