Sorry, totally the wrong place for this, I'm sure, but I am having difficulty finding an active administrator. I messaged the most recently active forum admin two weeks ago; the message was marked as having been received but there has been no reply. So, um, who should I contact about a nick alteration?

Nick, as in nickname, as in altering your screen name?
Just follow the example of Toot, who has a large array of variations on his name registered on the forums (largely due to being banned multiple times)

Yeah, forum nickname. I'm looking to put a space in. It won't let me do that in registration. But other people have spaces in theirs, and my old forum nick here from forever ago had one.

I think at some point the ability to add spaces into your name was removed. If it wasn't, I'd have a space in mine.

Well, if it's possible, I'd like it done by an admin. Or, if that isn't possible, an underscore or full stop instead. : P So who do I contact?

Just make another account then. You lose nothing by doing so. Doubt it is possible to have your name changed TBH. They can only ban and, I think, delete accounts.

You have to create a new account to change your name but usernames may only use alphanumerical characters now. Names with spaces in them are old accounts made before the forum upgrade.
As you guessed this wasn't the right section so I'm going to move this thread to Forum Feedback.
GeneReyva, name changes are possible with admin level access but I'm pretty sure the same character restrictions apply.
