I saw the trailer of Cyanides new RTS and http://www.agot-genesis.com/ to me it looked very similar to K&C.

But realistically, I kind of doubt it, that its the same game. Otherwise one would surely have heard an announcement somewhere.

It is actually not that bad. Its a different style of RTS, much less stress on combat (ie, there are ways to win without fighting, but it is hard). The game play (including combat) has a strategic depth that I think you would enjoy Neph.

P.S. I also like the books and series the game was based off of, another reason why I decided to try it out.

I dont know... all of the gameplay footage I've seen looked incredibly boring, and the maps seem too small to be tactically interesting in any way...

I think the way the game is scaled, the 6-8 player maps are more fun and better than the 2-4. I agree in that case they are awfully small. Im sure multiplayer would be more interesting if there was voice chat (that you could direct to one or certain people) so you could communicate easier to the other players.
