If you are talking of GW, no, it still need a lot of work.

I'm trying to contact moritz, but he left his email nowhere, and I miss him all the time on GPGNet.
But it will be nice to merge the ladder with the lobby.

I was a little worried that you took on too much with this, but since you've actually got a working lobby this period of time... wow. :D

Technical stuff. Zep is basically following the industry standard there.

Google password hashing.

The password isn't stored, but something relating to it is. The password itself can't be retrieved, so if you forget, nobody will remind you of it.

I'm planning to implement a TrueSkill ladder system.

It normally works better than ELO, and it's suitable for 2v2, 3v3, FFA... (Where ELO will consider 2v2 as 1v1 and so will have a ranking for every pair of players)

It's in good way so far (planning to finish a proof of concept of the trueSkill ladder next week)

Exactly. The password is coded in a indecodable string.
The string is stored in the database.

When you connect, you enter a password, it's coded with the same formula, and the result is compared with the one in the database.
If the two strings are same, chances are (99.99999%) that the same string was used to generate both of them -> So you enter the good password.

But as the password is never stored anywhere (not even in the client memory - it's coded on the fly).
If you lost it, I must generate a new one and send it to you by mail. Then you can change it back to anything (that part is not yet implemented).

Yeps, that what Sony didn't do :)

Reddev : The screenshot was a WIP, the message is gone, I don't think anyone has to bother with what I'm doing with the password system, as long as they know that it's crypted and secure.

I'm testing my latest features with some friends tonight, and if everything is all right, I will launch the test server.

Ze, I'd like to say that whatever happens. Do not involve reddev in the project for any reason whatsoever. It looks great and hopefully Moritz and Rick will get in touch with you to integrate the 3603 ladder.

I'll certainly be watching this. If it's fairly active, I'll probably end up coming back to FA for a while :) .

This is absolutely fantastic. Talk about an embarrassing kick up the rear end for GPG and THQ! I will be watching this, and please count me in for any balancing decisions once it gets to the point of releasing new patches. Also, someone has to notify Sorian of this so that he can make absolutely SURE that CT knows what is being done here.

A mail has been send and he answered.

Short:
GPG does not own FA anymore.
THQ has the publication rights and Enix the Supcom IP.
In the previous letter from THQ, they say that there will be no more support for FA (QA, patch, testing). It's no more viable economically.

GPG does not own the game, THQ stoped the support, Square Enix didn't say a word on it (and the support of Supcom2 is on a halt by the way).

In one sentence:
Nobody cares.

 Holy bullocks! I stop monitoring the boards beyond what I've already posted in for a few weeks and look what happens!

*sigh* Wish I had the time still to really get involved in this.

After some tests tonight :

I've still have to smooth the login process, and there is a little bug server-side.
But the server is up and running. Tomorrow I will release the first open client.

I would rather involve reddev than Rock.

Still QQ'ing about balance changes you could have voiced your opinion on before they were made but never did so now you complain instead rather than offering a solution?
