I want to make a unit for supreme commander and/or FA. The point is I can't work good with blender , and for as far as I know 3ds max 9 doesn't support .dds format images. How do I texture the model now? Please help.

You do have the nvidia dds plugin for 3DS Max? It speaks of older versions but it has worked for me in the past and now.

It doesn't seem to find 3ds max, when I use the installer and select the path of 3ds max it says that it couldn't find 3ds max there. Maybe becouse it isn't for 3ds max 9?

No, its because you have to manually identify the path for 3DS Max.

I do change the path to my 3ds max installation folder, but it just says that it's unable to locate 3ds max in the path I've selected.

Well my fault, I forgot that I named the folder with the installation files also 3ds max 9. So I exadentaly selected that one, without knowing it were my install files. Sorry for that.
