Fatal error upon launch.

"Unable to enumerate any directdraw devices installed on this system" Image

    - Updated to latest vid card drivers
    - In DSVideoConfig card not available in drop down
    - DSVideoConfig shows the Hardware detected as Static
    Image
    - Attempted to install DX9.0c as per other threads, runs, but doesn't install as DX11 is dominant
    - Advisory on other forums states disabling crossfire may help, unable to find option
    - Attempted to run in BC mode for XPSP1-3, Win 2000 and 98
    - Attempted to run through XP VM, same issue

Spec
i7 930@2.80GHx
6 GB Ram
ATI Radeon HD 5800 Series
Every possible driver has been updated and installed successfully
This question has been posted on Steam forums as well, but no working solution has been found as yet.

Hi, thanks for the reply. Sadly that is for Nvidia cards and Dungeon Siege 2 (Which I have no problem running on my PC).

yes but it still using teh same tool as you have shown it worth a try

I thought you meant the NVidia driver, I didn't notice the direct link to http://dungeonsiege2.net/ds2fun/sysdat/

After following the guidance on there I am now able to run the game.

Grrr back to square 1. Error has returned.
I suspect this has something to do with apple mobile drivers, as I just had a challenge syncing my phone, and this was the only significant change. Rolling back allows game play again, but does not fix the issue. Any ideas?
