So do we pay to play each match or do we have to pay just monthly?

Will the game cost more then $100 over a 6 month period?

Are there any micro-transactions?

Just hope GPG don't screw us over again and abandon a project at the %30 completed stage.

1. Neither. You pay to unlock the full features of a civilization (each civ is free to play with some restrictions; buying the civ upgrade removes those restrictions) and to buy booster/vanity packs. No continuous payments.

2. Unknown, depends on how much the packs cost.

3. The only micro-transactions are the civ upgrades and booster/vanity packs. Booster packs add extra single-player/co-op quests and vanity packs give you decorative items to place in your capital city. You won't be paying to get access to a single unit or building.
