That's what I meant by "Flow Economy". I just heard these two idiots on youtube running the SupCom2 drinking game call it that, and I assumed that's what the proper name for FA econ was. Another term floating around is "Deficit Banking."

I get the point, but I don't get why you are calling SupCom2 a stupidity contest. Perhaps I have no sense of humor when online, but that joke isn't funny.

Being called stupid by a SupCom 2 fan certainly does say something. I bet you're waiting for DLC 2, you know, the package that will add MORE units, just like DLC 1, to bring it all that much more closer to FA.

Once again, I'm afraid you have missed the point. The problem with FA was not that it had a lot of units, it was that too many of those units were repetitions of other units, just bigger and better. Too much redundancy. The only "bigger and better" unit that the DLC added was the Monkeylord, and only because players were clamoring for it. Some units might have niche roles, but they all had different purposes, not like FA with 3 units with the same role, each outclassing the previous iterations.

Lenghty threads such as these may be confusing to participants who want to join in the discussion. I shall now proceed to sum up the arguments:
Images removed
As you can see, the argument is primarily about the length of a dick that is most enjoyable to suck. The 5 page discussion is indeed very lengthy with many up and downsides being mentioned.
To come to a conclusion, I suggest we ask the expert on sucking dicks. I believe he should be somewhere on the forums. Neph? Are you there? We need you here buddy.

Ill have to agree that I like the supcom2 system better. Whats the use of a T2 tank, when theres a t1 tank as well? It replaces it. Its like giving a rockhead an extra barrel - You still have a tank, its just a bit better. I like upgrading units better than making them useless. You still end up with the same unit mix - mostly tanks. In supcom2, every unit has an actual use. Granted, not all of them are very well balanced, but theyre all useful in their own right. (except the Pshield).

The expert has spoken! Normal-sized dicks are the way to go! I guess now we can end the discussion.

Some units might have niche roles, but they all had different purposes, not like FA with 3 units with the same role, each outclassing the previous iterations. Then mod the units. Remember OTA? The higher tech level units did not make the lower tech ones obsolete - they just took on a slightly different role. Each unit more-or-less retained its uniqueness in the game. It is possible to mod FA so as to eliminate the redundancy. Just go into the blueprint files and edit what units can be built by other units and structures and change the stats. It's very easy to create upgradeable units in FA instead of obsoleting lower-tiered units. You still preserve the tier system of FA and TA, but reimplement it so as not to have redundancies. Personally, I think FA messed up the tier system of TA. But that doesn't mean "just go and play TA". FA is not a perfect game, and I have criticisms of it in it's vanilla state, but at least I can mod it to play the way I want it to play and, therefore, I don't b1tch about it. GPG tried something new in FA as compared to TA, which is completely fine, but they allowed (read: supported) the rest of us to tailor the game to the way we individually like it. SE came in, began migrating code into the engine, took away mod support, and will now just release DLC like a candy dispenser.

Hey Cygmus, maybe the next time you get banned you can change your name to Cygvus (where the "v" is the greek "n"). Wait, isn't "v" often used on the forums to spell cvnt?
