HI Everyone, A few weeks back I started a thread indicating a new super AI was going to be launching and now is that time. As I stated already, I do not believe a computer is smart enough, and due to its inability for LONG term planning, a jack of all trades approach is not sufficient to beat the top talent in this community, so I began building specialized AI's big map, small map, partner AI for rushers, partner AI for turtlers FFA AI, or 2v2 AI. All are different, So the link below is for Version 1.0. It has been tested against good players and has done excellent. I am going to be releasing the different styles in phases as I want to gauge how this one does vs the community. Right now I am only releasing Turtle LARGE MAP AI. The rest will follow soon, When I say LARGE MAP, I mean 4v4 maps. Any of the races can play FFA or a 2V2 or a 4V4 However, I would like to see if anyone can beat it in a 1v1 situation on a large 4v4 map, for example Etched Desert. You must have a strong CPU, and must have 1000 unit cap, otherwise it will not work properly. If you load it up with 500 unit cap, you'll crush it quickly, the building patterns are not designed for 500. I have not changed anything beyond the AI brain, units...weapons...speeds...capabilities all the same. Not a single change, just a much harder AI. I know it will be a stiff challenge for everyone, including the top ladder players, that is along as you do use the largest maps and have 1000 unit cap as it is designed, the rest will come soon for you small map guys. This was designed for Supremacy only, Assasination is another game all together, and the tactics for this AI are for supremacy http://code.google.com/p/ultramod/unzip, take all 3 files and replace your current files inside of steam\steamapps\common\supreme commander 2\gamedata backup your original files in a subdirectory so you don't lose them.

Looks a little shadey. Mind explaining why it's 4MB compared to the 1kb the normal lua.scd is?

Alright, lets do this in order.
First congrats on releasing or whatever.
Second, We have a large section o the forum devoted to Modding and AIs, so I'll be moving this there.
Third, your title is misleading, so I'll be tweaking it to better represent what you are offering, you may tweak it furthur afterwards but be sure to keep the same setup for it.
Mike

It appears that this only works with the DLC, unless I missed something. You may want to mention that.

forcing us to play with the AI getting such large cheat bonuses isnt cool.
Also you need to go through all the folders you changed files in as you have files in the wrong places. Factory builder in the engineer builders. platoon builder in the platoon templates. Not sure if there are more.
Changes are relatively minor but overall good work. Maybe rename it from Super AI to large map AI to be more descriptive for what it is.

Hi guys
These 'boosts' are identical to Sorians HARD, no changes there at all,
I made the lobby 'frozen' because I based all the stuff I did off those specific parrameters, otherwise it would just be a jack of all trades AI
I'm confident that it will give people a stiff challenge.
Sorian, did you try and play it yet?

Its possible to give the AI room with resources, building stuff only if it has enough mass reserves.
the problem I have with forced AI is if i want to play me and an AI vs some AI, I can't set the AI on my team to be a weakling or whatever. Also since you removed the other AI, I have to go and remove your mod if I want to play a different type of game.
It seems like you froze the cheat bonuses and then just went through the AI and increased some numbers for the higher unit cap and resources.
I would have liked to see a bit more creativity/originality to call this a "super ai mod"

This is the first version, I am going to add the rest back once I know this one can hold its own,
If i released 15 at once, or this one with the others, I wouldn't know
I call it super AI because its nearly impossible to beat, if you have not tried already
saying I increased this a bit here and there, and want something more original?...
The point of this entire endevour was to make something very tough to beat, using the same boosts that are 'out of the box', being cute and creative ONLY is useful if it is better than a vanilla AI,
You can at least comment on its fighting ability, instead of looking through the files and picking it apart before you try it out for yourself.

Of course, the real trick is to create an AI that doesn't need to cheat much, or at all, to be unbeatable. THAT is the holy grail.

Not at all. ummm i just watched the replay and you got owned by the comp. i think it was at like 14 min you had nothing but mass extractors left. from then on it was just clean up for the ai. You guys don't know me but i have been helping omega with the ai. not in the coding. all the credit goes to him for that. i have been his test subject. anyways. you did not beat it at all so don't say it's not hard to beat.

I have no idea what you're talking about. In that replay I eradicated the AI in about 45min with >70 soul rippers. Make sure you have the ai mod installed, and DO NOT use the replay research log and launcher mod, otherwise you'd be watching a nonsense desynced replay.

The hard AI also cheats on resource and buildrate, just not as much as the cheating AI.
