We really need this. We've had no updates - we're still playing with the game as it hit the shelves. The multiplayer lobbies are still frustrating to the point of breaking the game. We have many groups of loyal players who love the game but we really need the balance and the AI changes that the patching has brought.
Is there any news on an update for the xbox 360? Anything at all? We'd all really appreciate a glimmer of hope or a hint of an update.
Thanks.

Firstly, this is the wrong forum - Thread Moved
Second, as we've already discussed in several other threads patching the PC version is much simpler than the PC version, there are lots of reasons that would delay or even prohibit a patch for the 360 Version.

For everyone's information, by the way, it's SqaureEnix, not GPG, who is preventing the patch. Don't post about a patch on these forums; GPG can't do much without SquareEnix paying for the patch. Actually, you might as well not post on SquareEnix's announcement board because you'll get banned if you provide logical arguments against the mods' reasoning for the lack of a patch. Yes, I did mean to say announcement board. If they were forums you would actually be able to say what you want, not just what they think will make SC 2 look better.

I'm confused, Are you thinking I'm saying there won't be a patch?

If I even get a whiff of a patch I will literally not stop playing this game when it gets patched. It's fun and the best console RTS as it is, but these patches I hear for the pc sound awesome.
I don't blame GPG for no patches, but some info would be a little nice to hear.

As already mentioned in another thread, you were banned for pestering the forum and generally having a "snarky and douchy" attitude, as steveb put it. This post of yours is another example of such behavior. There is nothing wrong with posting on the Square Enix forum.

Mike None taken, I didn't mean it in that way but I certainly see where you're coming from. But Isn't SE in charge of whether SC2 gets a patch or not?

I think we can forget about a patch for this game.
Unless MS or Blizzard or maybe EA make the game, console RTS isn't a priority and we shouldn't expect support.
Not only do we need a patch for 2v2 and the balance issues. But now there is the engineer glitch that is spreading, that needs to be fixed asap.
Will it be fixed, if you guessed NO you are correct.
What a shame becasue SupCom is tied imo with Rings as the best RTS on the console.

I get the feeling the few online players left on 360 are not a priority. Even on PC, it seems that online players are considered a niche group and don't get as much attention.
Since the current exploits only affect online players (singleplayers can access the exploit as well, but in their own favour), I get the feeling that it's not considered important, even though for multiplayer matches it's essentially a priority 1 gamebreaking bug.

Mike What does it matter how old the thread is? It's currently active isnt it? And my point was valid. Petty I will agree, but still valid.

I received some sort of update for supcom2. I'll admit, the AI has changed, slightly, but to me they are still in need of more patches.
Look at the pc version, I believe it received a few AI fixes.(correct me if im wrong).
If this is viable, then at least it's a step in the right direction.
Also,if anything I've said is incorrect, please feel free to shed some light. Thanks

@lucian.
You may be correct, but I've notice some things that obviously have gone unnoticed.
What you ask? Well for starters some how gpg has managed to sneak in 5 new maps+AI changes!!
Don't believe me? Run supcom 2 with out your hard drive attached to your xbox and you'll see.Count the maps, matter of fact, play a game against the AI without the hard drive, then play with the hard drive and you'll notice the difference.
the maps are as follows:(before the patch) Geothermal borhole mirror island open palms seton's clutch shinrok rift armory treailach island van horne core powderhorn mesa clarke training center coalition shipyard finn's revenge markon bridge spring duel shiva prime arctic refuge boolon complex boras naval test range coalition command center corvana chasm feilds of isis
Now here are the maps they added:(after patch) Iskeilian coast QAI prototype facility Weddell isles Seraphim VII site 3.11A Emerald crater

The only patch that the XBox 360 received was a small one that made it possible to use the DLC.
