Brackman mentioned needing them to get to Earth. In my case in book 5 I mentionned that the codes is what allows the Cybran to gate directly on the island where Black Sun is located. That may or may not have been what they had meant, but that's how I had interpreted it. So it's more of a location code than a "lock out all unauthorized quantum travel" thing?
More like a code that allows you to gate somewhere without causing all alarms to scream at you, but you get the general drift.

I assumed it would be sort of an encryption code that allowed access to the right coordinates, so ya didn't gate to the wrong location / planet, or appear with the wrong molucules in the wrong places.
Without the codes, they wouldn't be able to pinpoint the right location and get there, and also acts as a protection method to stop someone just gating in anywhere.
Probably how the cybrans were able to haxx0r part of the quantum network's gate functionality to throw Arnold and co so off course.

wow.
Dots managed to beat my ACU rush - an impressive feat, not because it's my ACU rush, but because it's an ACU rush.
a key is a really underused unit, too.

It took me about 7 different theories and several hours of thinking before I found the right one, but I'll be keeping the secret for now.
I want to enjoy the sight of 2 ACU pilots mentally anguishing over their failed ACU rush at least one... and then we'll post the replay
Thanks a lot to Nerfish for making those tests with me

Oh, I phail at illuminate. I just don't think they are aggressive enough for me and ostrich allies who spend entire battle with their heads in the sand doesn't do much to help.
Unusually if I can't solo 4 players, I lose.
I guess I just don't make a very good girl-scout.
Oh, and you are very welcome. I hope my computer doesn't crash the way it does.

Oh guys, if you have any good replays with the UEF, now's the time to share them. I have a pretty good understanding of the Illuminate from playing it often myself (with very satisfying results I might add) and I have a much better understanding of the Cybrans thanks to Nerdfish (whom I fight alongside with). We even developped a lot of good Cybran/Illuminate combos that are devestating.
What I lack, however, is a clear understanding of the UEF's strenght. So if you have good replays that demonstrate some of them, please share them
EDIT: a general guideline for a good replay. If it has something that you'd think would be cool if Melissa did it in the story then it's good

Dots: Here's something new: http://www.gamereplays.org/supremecomma ... &id=118469Going Single factory and put all points into the ACU, which is pretty powerful against any land units. Eventually the difference in research become so great that you can erase the opponent with anything you feel like.

The enemies were pretty stupid as well. You can easily see that they had no communication whatsoever.

No matter how stupid your enemies are in a random team game, your allies will always top them History has taught us yet again that a large number of retards, no matter how stupid, will pose serious threat to a single person.
