lol?
All honesty, for a patch that took so long it's not an impressive list of changes. Not trying to be a hater, just being honest. :/

I think that all of us agree with you, RapierX. It took far too long to produce this little. All of us loyal customers are getting miffed and wondering WTF we are doing playing this game.

It gave it to me too. Unfortunately, it's hard to see how deep a game really is until you get good at it. If you're able to hit the top of 'competitive' play in less than a couple months, there's something seriously, seriously wrong.

I want to know who thought the new favor items were a good idea. Most of us abhor them.

The talk about making new "more expensive and more powerful" favor items makes me sick.

The weird thing is that Brad reads the forums pretty regularly. I would think that he'd know HP stacking needs to be made better, not worse.

Yeah, I don't know how they made the decision to include such favor items...

@RapierX That horn of battle line is a typo, it's the other way around. It's also a partial list, I'll reserve judgment till I've seen the whole thing.
@OrangeKnight I thought you were referring to the modding inclusion being a lie. Yeah, the date slipped, but nobody ever promised it. QA is done when it's done. At least this isn't THQ QA
@Epiphenomenon Prepare to go WTF then because Frogboy said no way no how to a granny exporter some time ago.
@_PINK That's fair enough. I'm personally happy with the casual nature of it. I think it's got just the right amount of competitiveness, but then I don't put in the hours like I used to to be able to really master a game.
On the favor items, I couldn't agree more. Some of them are fine, but that BOTF on crack is way over the top.

Without new maps or models, I don't think it'll be worth my time modding.
Or even playing the game.
*edit* What the hell went through your mind devs when you chose the most proprietary model format nearly possible. I bet it was something along the lines of "this library looks like it'll make my job personally easier"

This, seriously. I can't even begin to imagine how someone could think that BotF needed a buff (which is what that is). I can't even begin to express how absurd that is...yay for new players getting stomped even longer.
If I don't have 5k/close to that I now have a strong incentive not to come back. I'd rather not get rolled just because I haven't saved up for a stupidly costly favor item.

Shouldn't high end favor items have some cool unique effect that isn't game breaking?

gkrit has thought of tons of great favor item ideas, too. They should have picked some of them.

So, basically, you'll be able to make balance mods, which generally don't get much play unless they are truely excellent.
Great.
So much for my skills.

It's not a typo. The HoB is currently at 10 HP/sec. (Unless it was buffed sometime and the guy who checked didn't actually look at the current blueprint.)

It is good that there is some item that buffs the HP as this is good for some strategies and some Demigods but also (all!) the other items should have enough worth to be viable. Actually there are not too less favor items but the existing ones are not balanced. I would be fine if half the items would be removed but the rest would be equally balanced.

Was going off of a Frogboy post for that one. I haven't used a minion build in a while.

I know, it's very confusing. He hasn't clarified on that yet.

Yeah, it's only a partial list, so no jumping the gun about how shitty or little the patch has in it.

he got it totally wrong, not the regen was increased but the time needed to heal the same amount (don't remember how big it was, haven't played for months) was. (at least I think so)
the complete changelog has a few other not before mentioned fixes. All in all its probably a nice patch for those who still play it, assuming there are no new big bugs.

There we go, updates looking a bit better now.
Quote: - Horn of Battle time for effect increased from 10 seconds to 25 seconds.
That makes a lot more sense
For some reason I assumed modding support was going to be limited to LUA mods. They are going to release an SDK, it just wont make it for this patch.
The way they are rolling out the new Demigods indicates that if the game continues to sell we'll see a DLC type option for buying new Demigods. It's interesting that even for a game like this, most of the people buying it never play online.

I laugh that you believe an SDK is forthcoming. Also that you believe an SDK will help with modding. All we need is a model converter. What else is the SDK gonna contain?
