I recall CT saying that yes, but they will look "just as good" because of better shaders or other graphical tricks like that.

Euh, I don't know, it's certainly not a group of engineers anymore you can let assist.
"The limit on your ability to store mass and energy has been removed, so there's no need for storage facilities. Also, engineers can no longer group up on a building project to increase production speed, so you don't have to create and control large groups of engineers to complete major projects. Build times are being rebalanced to take these changes into account, so even the most powerful artillery structures can be built in a reasonable amount of time with a single engineer."

You can build stuff using 1 engineer this doesn't mean you can assist a fac with 1 engi.

Saw past that, true, and I think even the lack of engineer assist could have been derived from those videos (faster build times were already mentioned then).
Those resource values are pretty high it seems.

Those resource values are pretty high it seems. It seems that mass now has a bigger value in numbers compared to energy ...
I wonder if these '32' are the numbers of upgrades you can do ... it seems like quite some number.
So I guess that game already lasted some time.

i wouldn't put too much faith in the specific numbers there; propaganda demonstrations invariably have resources buffed heaps to the people giving the demo can do everything and show everything in an appropriate amount of time.
just look at the fact that there is numbers, and leave it at that.

Yeah, but that 32 number is indeed an indication of research points. I saw some values from the vids and some techs required 3 points or more.
I am curious how exactly the experience gained will be translated to these research points.

It doesn't work in certain browsers (in Opera definitely not), IE (sigh) is your best bet.

It has decided not to load for me anymore either. Hmm, and I wanted to listen to the music some more.

just a word of warning about that link; Google intervened and said it's been a vector for malware attacks.
[EDIT:] to clarify; it mentioned one of the adverts. used on the forum.

Yeah, Chrome stops loading too, apparently there's malware on the site.

I dont like how they are taking the tech levels out and putting in a tech tree =[. Feels like they are gona have less units that way. Its also like they have all the upgrades and such are a "replacement" for the tech units, that way you can upgrade a tech 1 tank to be a tech 2 through the unlocks and such, instead of upgrading the factories and having to build a seperate unit. Lets hope there still are a good number of units like before, and not just....6 for each type (land, air, naval).
The experimentals however are kinda cool. AC-1000 is my favorite, always wanted an AC-130-like unit in supcom. Like some other posts said before, lets hope GPG still keeps most of the stuff from the first game! Wouldn't Supcom 2 be great if it was like the first supcom in the general parts like the economy and tech levels, but still fixed the major problems like the lag and pathfinding....maybe they did fix those..but..supcom 2 NOW just doesn't seem like its related to supcom 1. The commander and scale is still there, but...ugh these previews and such make it look like its a totally different new game.
CT said he wanted that but i personally think it would be better to make it more recognizable to the first supcom. Just shooting out my opinion. It is pre-pre-pre-pre alpha however, and maybe GPG will hear what all the fans are saying about how they feel. Some professional reviews of the E3 demo for supcom 2 have criticised supcom 2 due to it not really looking related to the first one.
P.S. - Great post with all the news and such, i will be looking here for all the news i need on supcom 2.
