Stardock is making a big deal about this system working, because they're going to be using it a lot in the future. If it was just GPG, why not just use the existing system with GPGNet?


Exactly. Which is also why I have a lot of patience for the current troubles. I don't expect a brand new system to work perfectly. Since it is a long term development I expect it to work well for DG and future titles.

Indeed; Impulse is Stardock's Steam, they plan to basically make it the platform for their entire buisness; everything Stardock publishes will be run through Impulse.

It's not really that surprising that it's not working perfectly yet, considering Impulse is so new it still squeaks when you rub it.
