This Router will refuse to work with GPGNET, this is the Solution to our Problem:

Dont forward the Ports 30350-30351 to your PC, or else the Router will somehow malform the Packets so GPGNET will refuse to connect.

Please make this Topic a Sticky one, so other Netgear-Users will be able to play online / get new Patches.

in general, manufacturers tend to use older software, modernize it and use it for the new product... so this Problem may appear on similar Models.

Thanks for the help! You've been linked and stuck in the General Networking FAQ in the GPGnet FAQ section. :D

I'm still getting the error message

AppName: gpg.multiplayer.client.exe AppVer: 1.5.52.0 ModName: msvcr80.dll
ModVer: 8.0.50727.363 Offset: 00008a8a

When Im loading to get into the game the whole games goes into windows mode and I get a error message and it asks if I want to reply it to windows support. After I have choosen to report it or not the GPGnet crashes and the game is still stuck on the loading and I can get into the game where you can choose team and so on.

But why does the Multiplayer FAQ tell to forward those ports? Are they needed now or not?

In German:

Can't find the FAQ right now, but as far as I remember, it tells you only to open the ports (if necessary), not forward them. 6112 UDP is and always was the only port, that has to be forwarded.
Well at least I don't forward anything else ;). All the other connections on the other ports are only outbound connections, afaik.

i just discovered that "forwarding ANY of the needed Ports" @ Netgear RP614 renders the game unable to connect / start GPGnet!
Dont forward ANY Ports with this Router!

I think that's because UPnP is messing around.
