We want Chapter! We want Chapter! We want Chapter!
(Lord Of Nothing continues to chant innanely as though he has nothing better to do for a hour, then decides to go back and read the entire series again to stave of the cravings for a little while longer.)

Chapter 16 Blink is now online!
And admit it, everyone wanted to tell that to Fletcher in the campaign

Whoopeeeeee!!!
Can't wait to find out what's in the package from the Princess. I'm thinking it's something from Commander Arnold! The action is really building up. Something major is in the works.
Keep 'em coming dots.
Marc

"The UEF pilot scorned again and slammed a fist against his side panel: “I did not climb this high by being in those twenty-four percent. Just send me back there, chip head!”"
I've heard that sorta line before but I'm not sure whether it was a movie or game, and hehe at "chip head", nice insult for the cybrans.
Nice lil reference to the "Loading screen" slipped in there in that story as well, made me grin.
Also poor Hall, the old guys probably a tough ol bast but he could only take so much, heh. Seems that recall tech really does give a whump. I can't remember if they reported any really bad/different effects when Spear used it to Save Bagby and Kazuo from the Sephy bombers though in the chapter where Bagby had the duel with the SCU, maybe ya could go back and modify that chapter to include em being a bit fecked over by it if so?
Would be a good nod towards this chapter where they actually experience it more, and the early versions of the recall tech should be even worse then these, heh.
As to the chapter it felt short but that was probably due to the frantic nature of the battles, and was still good. A bit of development on the Aeon alliance front, and Brackman being cooperative, also I wonder what Rhiza would think if she saw the ol guy kicking ***, heh. I think we all remember when Brackman outwitted and fried QAI when it came for him.
NIce focus on battle details there too, I could really imagine Desjar frantically dodging between shield gens while timing his movements to be under the next as one went down. Great reference to our own gameplay and dancing under shields when our ACUs are under major attack, and the feeling of "Oh shi" with the Fletcher scene was also very imaginable, defending against a vastly superior army with a few units and trying to keep alive at the same time, while planning an escape route that ya not sure is safe or not.
Also heh I expected his "backup" was Redfog with what Brackman2 said, but then assumed otherwise when it seemed the commander had been pwnd, so it kinda caught me off guard when just as it was going bad for Fletcher, Redfog's THREE monkeylords appeared from the water and roasted the whole army in a very sneaky but effective Redfog way.
Nice chapter dude, good to be back in the battles too, especially when theyre wrote like this. Keep it up with some more lovely long descriptive battle scenes. Great how the personality and tactics of each pilot is shown in each fight also.
Possible Corrections:
"a Cybran and a Loyalist ACU stood open the open plain"
I assume it should be "stood ON the open plain."
"The two Mongooses"
"The two mongoose units" would sound better, as mongeese wouldn't really fit.

Heh, loading screen, nice one.
Commander Bob offered "stood ON the open plain." Though I think you were trying to write "A Cybran and a Loyalist ACU stood upon the open plain."
Anyways, thanks for the update.

That's the one that I had originally intended to write, but my fingers must have gotten confused along the way. Thanks!

I have an idea for a plot.
Spoiler alert.
QAI kept stealing Blueprints from the CDC in FA. I wonder if Brackman is able to cripple QAI by planting viruses in the firmware of the units he design. When QAI builds then, the virus spreads. When Brackman knock out QAI's central mainframe, he also triggers the virus and bright down all other processes at once.
QAI is pretty immortal so he'd eventually recover. But knocking out QAI for the remainder of forged alliance campaign would tip the battle in CDC's favor.

Here's an update concerning the next chapter: on the good side, it will be a long one and has good odds of ending the book. The bad side is that it takes me extra time and I'm off on friday through a 6 hour train ride back and forth to work on another site. Realistically, the next chapter will not be online until saturday. Worse case: sunday.
