Fun map. I'm just completing an epic game on it.

YAY!!! Finally someone made a map that expands after a set timeframe. I don't have a chance to test it yet, but does it expand in multiplayer too?

Basically, I like this map so much that I am posting my first ever post here (though I have been lurking for a long time). Functions great, at least in multiplayer (had about 4 2v2 games). I haven't tried the single player at all. Also, the design of the mass and energy in the center of the map is great, as it forces almost constant conflict. Overall, everyone should try this map.

Just had a game with my two friends against Sorian's water and normal AI ( both multipliers were 2.25 ).
We lost but the battle was awesome.
Although we first had our doubts about expanding map in the end it worked really good.
Thank you for a great map.

In the single player, the AI takes way to long to get out of level 1 and if you have an allied AI you only have partial control of your level 3 engineers. Did not notice this with level 1&2, but at level 3 they keep leaving their assignments and appear to be being controlled by your ai ally.

Wow, I am very honored.
And to BOTA, I asked Sorian to test his AI on my map to help with feedback and fixes for both the map and his AI.
The AI really needs to build a second "main base" after the play area expands in one of the corners. Lots of room to spread out and build units.
Glad to hear people are enjoying the map!

I would suggest you list the multiplay as a release, but the single play portion as a wip (work in progress) - as that is what that portion really seems to be, so that people downloading understand their are - at this point at least - major problems with the AI play/behaviour on the map.

The point isn't to change the map for AI play, the point is to change the AI for optimum map play.
Any AI should have an idea of the type of map they're playing on and behave accordingly.
I just wish there were some LOS functions the AI could use to determine best placement of Arty's and such.

You list the map as specifically sp friendly so I disagree 100% with you. Thier are some weird issues in it that just do not relate to the poor ai play issue (which is there too) but it has some sort of bug where you do not control totally your level 3 engineers. That needs fixed asap for anyone wishing to do the sp. It is VERY aggravating to have them leaving jobs and going where your ai ally tells them too or even have them picked up by transports belonging to your ally. That should not happen. You have some sort of major coding bug in there causing that.

I'm pretty sure that is a problem with the AI and not the map. If I am correct, it has been reported as happening with Sorian's AI. I'm not sure about stock AI or Duncan's AI though. The map has nothing to do with how the AI acts.

no kidding, my map has nothing to do with the AI controlling your engies. Wow, why would you blame my map for that?
The single player version is not a WIP. The change between the versions is the SP version gives you a slight advantage in the first 5 minutes. After that the AI has expanded so much you're mass is about the same.
And if you don't control the center in the SP version, you will likely lose the game.
I completed a new map last night based on this map, will upload soon.

Never happened before with stock ai so it most certainly IS something with the map.

There is a bug with the stock AI that lets the AI control your engineers. It is not a map bug. I saw the same thing happen on Fields of Isis with the stock AI.

I have been here since day 1 of supcoms release and have played hundreds of maps and only use the stock ai and have never experienced this before. I currently have 2 gigs of maps installed. Very very odd this is the first time I have experienced this.
