The map is currently only downloadable using the Vault, both SupCom and SupCom FA.

I've had some nice responses from supcom gamers. I'm planning to make a second version of this map, but then with more reclaimables and a few more mass spots in the middle.
I'm still going to wait for some more feedback, I'm sure that will roll in nicely the coming weeks. Please feel free to download, play, rate and comment on this map. Thx in advance.

can you please provide more information on the map? size, num of players ect please? im one of those who doesn't like to DL maps due lack of info.

Excellent entrance, I always enjoy it when a new mapper shows up.
I actually did happen to release my first map, but I've only released one out of four more after that, though I'm working on a rather ambitious mapping project atm.
Anywho, map looks great, I'll check it out ASAP.

It's here, the 10x10 8 player Beta version of ForestPlanet FA V2a
(click image for larger image)
A little over 2900 decals have been placed, it has reclaimable rocks and lots of trees. The map can be used as a FFA (4 players), 2v2v2v2, 2on2, 4on4.
FA AI support is in, with help from Dragon Fly who cleaned things up and made it all better.

been skirmishing this map up a lot lately; very very fun.
AI markers work nicely. seen the AI spam T3 pgens. is silly places, but i'm not blaming you for that.

Have anyone encountered problems with ForestPlanet FA V2a Beta when loading saved games? SCFA just quits to desktop at the end of loading process, no error messages of any kind displayed. I have not encountered such a problem with any other map.
Anyway I like playing the map. Please add "terrain map" for minimap to final version, no more that all black background...

I haven't encountered any problems with saving and loading games on my map. Hereby I would like to ask anybody to test this out.
I know about the minimap showing a black background, anybody know how to fix this? Please let me know.

I have played a lot of custom maps and that black minimap is very common among them. So far, only custom map I know with that "terrain map", is Elephant Graveyard version 5, contained in this mappack:

Is it possible to find out how it is done with that map?

The only way to have the minimap not be black is to use HazardX's map editor. Trouble is that it doesn't have all the features, that the GPG editor has. So a lot of features that you see on a custom map, will be missing on a map made using HazardX's editor. Missing main feature is Decals and probably many more, but I can't think of them at this moment.

In all official SCFA maps the minimap is not black. If you can´t do that with GPG editor, what kind tool the GPG used to create those maps.

GPG have an editor that does it correctly, so the maps have a working minimap. The trouble is they never released it to us map makers, so we are left with the one that is for SupCom, which is a pre-alpha and even though it is easy to use, it is full of bugs.
And since GPG is having so much trouble, in releasing the FA patch. I see no new map editor, being released any time soon.
