What you said doesn't make any sense...
Anyway, most comments and magazine previews agree with everything I said so it's pointless to discuss SS anymore, it's just a complete failure.
Too bad, I was really looking forward to SF action RPG... :(

if you would actually read the previews on the net, youd see that they DONT agree with everything you said, only one calling it a total failure is YOU!

why the hell do you keep coming back here?!?!? i mean you have nothing creative or helpful to say, only thing you do is TROLL your way through the pages and say "it sucks", "its a total failure", "someone should get fired", over and over and over and over again, give it a rest already! we all know you hate this game, we all know you think its a total flop, youv said it a thousand times.

Me saying it's a complete failure doesn't matter but the REASONS why it's a complete failure matter, and I among many others have stated those reasons.

Simple solution:

Derek, find me one reputable source accessable on the internet which suggests that the camera issues and animation issues would be alleviated if the developers copied, or took heavy inspiration from, the games Mass Effect, Gears of War, or most prominently, Hellgate: London.

Complete this task and you have won.

Is Dereks' last name "Smart"?

If not, he should go to those forums and give him some hell about his crappy games.

Just played it, and I dunno, it just didn't feel fun, spent too much time fiddling with the camera and moving the mouse all over the place to move and attack...

Mike

what he said
[I'm hoping for another addon to supcom though.]

don't get me wrong i was highly interested when a Sega published ActionRPG was announced. Sega made a few very nice and playable ActionRPG's for Consoles so i had hoped to find a game which shares the acessibility of those.
It at least was advertised as such.
instead i have to get used to a totally unintuive control scheme.

looks very much like i will keep my cash this time.

[i also want the FA patch to be released, i see no point spending money on products which have questionable patch support.]

I think one problem they made with this game was calling it Space "Siege". By doing this I believe they gave the impression it was going to be very similar to DS, but in space. Since this game is not like DS in anyway, they should have changed the name. The fact that they did name it what it is, then I will compare it to other "Siege" games.

I know a lot of people don't care about the lack of loot, but that is one of the main things that added a lot of replay valve to DS. I remember playing online night after night helping people get to the Chicken Level and wondering what new and interesting looking weapons I would find.

The worlds were beautiful and the game played excellent for the graphic quality at the time the game was released.

After playing the demo a few times, I just felt that the game is a giant void. Maybe I'm mistaken, but from what I've read and seen it seems that there are no variations in the weapons or cyborg parts that are found. It's always nice to have a little individuality when playing a multiplayer game that is not an FPS.

It seems that they are very proud of the story line in the game. I have not had many good experiences with games that hype the story versus the game play. I enjoyed Mass Effect, but it was not even close to as great as many people claimed. The story itself WAS good, but it seemed to me that a lot of the game play, especially the planet driving parts, was less important.

That's just my two cents. Unless what I know is mistaken, there is no way I will pay full price for this game. Maybe I've been playing games for so long that my expectations are much higher than they should be.
