A god is dead, god isnt dead, the entire demigod idea only works when you have a pantheon of gods.

There are (or at least were in earlier version of the story) a whole bunch of gods. One of them, who is referred to as the All-Father, vanished/died and his sons and daughters are competing for his spot.

actually, this maybe can be compared to the greek mythology:

there were the ancient gods, and there were the titans who were the children of those gods, less mighty, but the more "popular" gods for the population, like Zeus.

Maybe those "titans" are our demigods?

I still think he made a new dimenson/universe in which to make new Demigods and thereby creating more potential expansion munnies for GPG.

I think the bigger question is: Why in the name of the seven huge *** hells aren't the other gods annihilating the Demigods and fighting amongst themselves?

No, it's easy. All of the Demigods ganged up on Scathis, the All-Father. Then they beat each other up for his spot.

Demigods (Read: Demi) can easily kill eachother 1v1...

But an all powerful super god can't banish all 10-15 of them to the darkest dredges of hell? :/

cant we have this all father sitting infront of a computer (in a shady room wit hlotsa bloom effects, the room remind you of a cellar, yellow light shining in through one small window) eating some snacks, then suddenly he reaches for his throat and chokes

he slowly fall off his chair and a cloud of dust whirls up when he bangs into the floor *silence*

...

the camera zooms in on his computer and there is this weird group conversation over msn with his children with lotsa jokes and stuff

but they feel he's dead and youll se new messagse popping upp "whats happenin over there bro?"(rook) "eyy whats upp daddy? what happened"(edna)
"schatis sent you a wub" "scathis sent you a wub" scathis sent you a wub"

suddenly you see scathis sitting in his swamp house (though you dont know that until later in the cutscene). hes sitting inftront of his beast computer and he got like all techy stuff like subwoofers and things... then he take a deep breath, and the camera shows his eyelid open dramaticly fast, after some seconds pause revealing his bug yellow snake eye. he jumps and catapults out of his hous (through the roof splintering it). and now you see his house exterior, and muddy shed in the middle of the swamp...

and after this you see various scenes withg the different demigods running, jumping and doing coool stuff (like rook slamming his hammer into the ground and creates an earthquake that destroyes a mountain so he can pass)

then the demigod text fades in...

...

...

If the All-Father Isn't named scathis, he better at least be reminiscent of or be a reference to, the Supcom unit sharing Scathis's name.
Example: The depiction of God in Monty Python and the Holy Grail, but instead of a crown he has a Scathis on his head.

You've got it the wrong way around you dolt. The Greek Gods were the sons and daughters of the Titans, the Titans were evil mofos who represented the primordial forces of chaos and disorder, and were imprisoned by Zeus in the heart of Erebus, wheras the Younger Gods were representations of civilisation and order.

They then went on to father half-god children, or Demigods, such as Heracles and Achillies. The Demigods we play in the game are these, the half-mortal sons and daughters of the All-Father, our Lord Scathis, who vanished under mysterious circumstances (it is believed he has become a God of a different dimension.)

yeah, the Titans were the big mofo megagods, Zeus and his brothers/sisters/cousins ganged up on them, stuck them in the deepest part of Erebus and divided the world amongst themselves


that doesn't seem to be happening here.......we have the gods doing.....well, nothing........and we have the demigods fighting to take over for the creator(who should be the most powerful of the GODS) and the other gods don't care, none of them are fighting for it. shouldn't it be a god that takes over for the creator, not some random demigod that managed to kill all the other demigods?

Regardless, there's a spot open, and somebody is going to fill it, maybe one of the gods in the pantheon has already filled it, and said god's post is left empty, meaning a vacancy for the demigods.
Though I think it's a matter of respect, the Demigods ARE Scathis's children so they kind of deserve the spot.
