Due to troubles people have been having downloading the vid off of FileFront, I have put up a torrent. This torrent includes links for all vids I've ever made.

Damn, those Scorchers coming out of the Atlantises at 4:18 is... I don't have any words for such and many other scenes in this flick. Unbelievable.

Wow. You really ended this series in the most awesome way imaginable. Your videos are leaps and bounds better then any official FA videos (both in content and camera technique). They should have hired you to make their trailers dammit. The whole thing was great, but these shots stand out above the rest in my opinion:
3.27 was the clip that sold me. Both the camera and the event itself is so cool.
4.19 was the most majestic shot of the movie.
4.31 and 5.42 where awesome too.
What I liked the most is how you managed to showcase all the new FA effects. Seraphim nukes, heat trails, the new Czar beam, the more colourful explosions and so on...
Also may I shamelessly plug my own movie that I'm working on?
http://forums.gaspowered.com/viewtopic.php?t=28610
It's still work in progress and I would really appreciate any advice, thoughts or criticism anyone has.
And Rake, since you managed to get all these bigass experimental battles and rare units into your video may I ask how you choose what replays to watch. Do you find them all in the vault? Do you only bother with replays longer than 2 hours? Or do you simply watch trough a billion trillion replays?

I start with the Top Rated in the Vault, throw in any that get linked here on the board, and that's usually good enough. I'll occasionally find one on GameReplays, as well.
Replays are, for the most part, a crap shoot. You have no idea whether or not you're going to get anything when you start one. The most epic game ever doesn't guarantee a single usable shot. It will, however, guarantee a lot of time lost in the process of finding out.
By the end of development, I had had it with replays. You'll note there isn't a single 3599 replay in the vid...
And I don't really watch any that are 2+ hours, due to the slowdown that plagues them.

Entertaining and excellent as always Rake, shame it's your final video. However, it is definitely the best (of the ones I have seen). Thanks for putting such hard work into the thing, it definitely is something that you just want to watch over and over again.
So once again, thanks, for I'll be watching this once more after I click that "Submit" button.

try reducing the speed while your playing to -8 or -10 or soemwhere around there, then speed up the shot with whatever editor you're using.
alternately, try the console command dump_frames (or something like that) I've never used it myself but apperently it records the game at 60 FPS no matter how bad the FPS actaully becomes ingame. you could be at 0.1 FPS, and it will get recorded as if it was at 60. However since AF records this it uses a filetype that takes up more space than a FRAPs recording. I don't reccomend using this unless you're still getting slowdowns while at -10.

What bugs me most in this video though is the striking non-realistic behavior of interceptors and ASFs. They are always drifting through the air, like they never have enough velocity and always struggling against the gravity or like they are always experiencing stall.

It shows supcom in all its glory, and quite a few of its glitches, as well (e.g. the AOA on the Planes!)
Wonderful work, nonetheless.

Excellent!
I'm spamming this to all my friends right now.
Hopefully at least one of them will pick up the game because of it!

Another masterpiece. It's completion marks greatness and sadness because it is the last of it's kind. My kids and I love your videos. Thank you.

It got 1/4 the downloads of either of the Flail vids, and the torrent has barely broken 15 GB transferred. I rarely even bother seeding it anymore. People may have liked the vid, but as far as having a real impact goes, it completely failed. Anyone with any interest in the project has seen this thread by now, so bumping it really doesn't matter at this point. Just let it go. mocafrost wrote: Another masterpiece. That's nice to hear. It means a lot. I'm glad it gave you and your kids a common interest.
