Well, I can confirm it was definately the AI sending GC's in the lava. At varying points, several of my ML's also decided to try and go for a swim, so it's definately not the AI but pathfinding.

And I can confirm no score on Shore to Shore (as someone above reported), but mine didn't crash.

Bugs for Shore to Shore:

- I've had three games where I had two AI's on the other shore allied against me. In all three of them, one of the AI's killed the other. At first I thought I'd mis-set something, but this last time I made certain all AI's were allied in team 1.

- I play supremacy. It says that means the player loses if they don't have any engineering ability. Yet I have to kill ALL of the enemy structures to win, including MEXs.

And of course the score and screwy mex pads.
It's a shame these maps are so bugged. Lava Highground and S2S were always a couple of my faves. :-(
Can't wait until version 2. 8)

I also had some difficulties with Coast to Coast. I tried to play 2v2 twice but both times no teams were formed.... :cry:

Any chance you're working on Painted Desert? That was one of my favorite maps from TA... That one and Ror Shock (which is kinda like seraphim glaciers, actually...)

Well, I checked the vault, and saw some of these maps, but didn't see PD, so I figured it wasnt' available. And the last time I cheaked the thread, PD was NOT on the list.

There are two verions of Painted Desert in the vault. One from Johanaz and the other from TAC.

Just search for "Painted" :idea:

Isn't that Annihilation you're thinking of? Supremacy is supposed to be like that...

Mine is better ... although it was released later (thats why it has lower number of downloads).

Mine is balanced, has nicer terrain and is made so it can be used as 1v1, 2v2, 3v3 or 4FFA map. Its also intended as West vs East (eliminating any possible imbalances resulting from North vs South map style).

Planning to release slightly updated version in about a month or so.

Hm.. I disagree, the ground looks weird in your version ;). But it's true, yours is probably more balanced than Johanaz' version.

Hi, I´m new here. I played TA a long time ago and was happy to see "the holy grail of RTS" back in town :D. And I was quite happy to see this mappack of old TA maps. But as i read here GD2 isn´t neither in the mappack nor in the vault. And now my two questions:
- what the heck is the vault? and
- how do I get this map?

if you have ever logged in for online play you will find a series of icons in the lower control bar, one of those looks like a money safe. Click that, that is the vault. You can search the vault for the map you want. When you find a map you want you will be given the option to download it. After that it should be available for you to use (and anyone else that also has the same map)

I can't play them because I'm a console gamer but your maps -and their description and pics- bring back good memories. Thanks mate :)

TA was amazingly original for its time and SC also added original features in the genre like the zoom.

This series will always be great, hopefully and, also, they are deep in my heart tbh

Just downloaded the pack, but Great Divide 2 and Gods of War aren't there. All 11 maps are mentioned in the readme, but the folder only contains 9 maps. What do I need to do to get the other two maps?

Great work by the way - nostalgia always makes a great game better.

I heard that there are lots of units with unique underwater graphics. For example, underwater hydrocarbons make bubbles instead of smoke. is this correct?

Yes. A number of structures are triggered to display special SFX when underwater. Mexes and Hydrocarbons are the only ones i can think of off the top of my head.

Underwater stuff was originally planned and scripting for it began, but it was dumped due to engine issues or something.

Can I get an answer? How do I get Great Divide 2 and Gods of War, they are not in the downloaded folder, even though the appear in the readme.

Please don't ignore my, or anyone else's questions. If you don't know, say so, but outright ignoring a fair, well posted question doesn't reflect well on yourselves or on the community.

It is completed. Like I said, it and GD2 are both mentioned in the readme. The banner talking about them has an image of Great Divide 2 on it. Other screenshots have been posted of both, and they have been described as complete (albeit not in the vault, which none of the maps are anymore as far as I can tell; you need to reupload, TCC). So the maps are done, he just forgot to put them someplace we can get them. Which is fine, since he's doing this for free, but come on - GD2 and GoW were some of my favorite maps for TA, and if they're done, how much trouble can it be to put a proper, complete pack up for us? Please?
