- Login. Router issues? This forum handles my login no problem... The only reason for it I can think of is to prevent someone who stole your cd key from loggin in while you're playing.. but that doesn't solve that issue in the slightest, and irritates everyone else who has to deal with it. This should have been dropped out entirely from day 1.
So far, the only people I know suffering from this is the ones patching from the very old versions of GPGnet, but ater the latest patch, everything is fine.

- Front Page : The stuff on there has been static for AGES. No news, nothing new, and the 'most popular mod' section has Optimus Prime's 4th Dimension 1.5 mod in the list, which is about 8 months out of date, not to mention for Supcom only, as well as an old version. It may show data from a live database, but it's not relevant, and it's very very static. How many people stop to look at it on the way through? Hard to tell, but I know personally it's just another click in the way of hitting that 'join chat' button.
The only thing static may be the 'most popular maps/mods' but replays get flushed every update, and there just was one a week ago.
Last newspost was 20 days ago, I have seen some services with year old newsposts.
Also, Optimu's latest update was released on 10/09/2007, however he chose not to UPDATE the old mod and ad a new version to it and just uploaded under a diferent name, thats why the homepage lists the OLD one.

What fails? how it is clunky? how is it hard to use? If you know how to make a proper mod you should be able to understand how to upload it.
Ok THAT was uncalled for. We certainly DO know how to make a proper mod. We made the
biggest mod for supcom to date!! And if you don't think we know how to make a "proper" mod, come visit supremilated.com and download ATW and see for yourself.
THEN try to make it work in the Vault. If you get it to work, you get a cookie.
Don't put words in my mouth.
I am not saying you guys can't mod, and I know all about suprimilated as I played and like a few aspects of it.
Contrarly to popular belief, I do not live under a rock.
I am saying that any modder capable of editing LUA files properly will understand how to upload it.
This will probably change in the future as we are trying to get rid of these bugs, though from what I undersatand most of occur due to human error.
I will gladly upload your mod if you are having issues with it. Free of charge since its the first time.

3) gpg.net seems to have a bad memory for game names. If I host a game called 3v3 Setons people will see the game. After the game has been played if I call the next game 3v3 Setons it will either never establish the game or if it does create one nobody can see it. If I create a game with a variation on the name ie 3v3 Setonz it will work. I can make as many games as I want so long as I keep shuffling the name until the old ones work their way out of the system.
This is being looked into.

And of course I know GPGNet doesn't differentiate mods.. and that FA & Supcom are incompatible. Poking at my credibility with database admin stats is hardly professional.
This is one of the big changes that will come. You can't rush these things, QA, debugging. I mean I wish it were out @ FA release as well but modders are intelligent people, they post in the mid description if its FA. Those without this descriptions are probably SC. It's not a big of a problem as you might imagine.
PS: More australian friendly tournaments are comming very soon, I actually think theres one tomorrow.
Key point is, everything that needs a change/update/polish will get it as soon as it can, but you have to understand testing it takes time.
This has already happened almost every big update we've had, things got better.
For example I have not heard one person say: OMG 100% CPU bug in about 2-3 months, OMG desync (SC desyncs to almos 5% of what they were at SC's launch and are almost non existant in FA).
Anyway this is really offtopic in the demigod forum, moving to GPGnet suggestion.
Thanks for your input.
