Diamond is now a featured mod in Forged Alliance Forever lobby system. This means the mod will be automatically downloaded when you play it in FAF. Welcome to play with us! You can download FAF from here http://www.faforever.com/?page_id=2

Hi. I decided to do one more update to Diamond Patch Mod to get the balance and overall polish to pristine levels. I will be adding more beam bug fixes(mostly naval units since i have not fixed any of them yet) and I will also do minor adjustments to balance based on our play testing results. If you have countered a bug that has not been fixed even on Diamond or are concerned about the balance of some unit(s) report them here on this thread.

That would be cool, I'm looking for the non FAF release. You have done an incredible job.

Instead of disabling this feature, I'd much rather see it fixed by using the armor class system.

Instead of disabling this feature, I'd much rather see it fixed by using the armor class system. I would imagine it's not the fact that the units are vulnerable but that the aircraft get stuck on them in the first place. This is a common issue with any mobile landing pads - and it's the same one that causes mobile air factories/pads to cease production when an aircraft initiates landing on them.

I think that what he menas is that when an aircraft that has landed on an airpad and is being repaired gets fired at by air to air units in an overkill manner the FatBoy also suffers damage and could even be destroyed.

Krapougnak: FAF Featured Diamond mod is also updated recently to to this same version. Their change logs are identical. After releasing Patch mod I a year ago i continued updating Diamond on FAF and now after many FAF Diamond updates, the Patch mod got its update too.
As it is said above, the problem in mobile airstaging is that if plane gets stuck, the fatboy cant produce land units anymore and enemy air units can kill the fatboy just by shooting the landed aircraft on it. As the planes seek any near airstaging platfrom possible when pressing dock button its better that these two mobile ones are disabled altogether.

I wonder if there is some code that could be created to disable the airstaging ability when the unit is building.

It was actually like that. When Fatboy was building it did not act as air staging platform. That was not the problem. Planes getting stuck disabled the ability to build land units and made Fatboy vulnerable to air to air units if you did not manually ordered the planes to took off.

I was aware of that - but I've found that the stuck air units occur for one of two reasons - the platform begins moving - which seems to terminate the thread that normally causes the aircraft to return to what it was doing - or the aircraft gets a target while on the pad - which does the same thing (but isn't supposed to happen).
Either way - disabling the airstaging ability is probably the most effective way to prevent the behaviour.
