Right, nuked the game.perfs file, started again, tried a game just using me and 7 AIs, no other mods enabled (bar Sorian + LEM), get into the game and there don't actually seem to be any Gaz UI Options anywhere. I go into menu> options > interface and its just the same options as there were before. Equally, F1 only brings up the standard keybindings, I can't see any additions there. GAZ UI is deffinately selected, though in the mod list the icon for it is just an orange square, rather than the icon shown in the mod_icon.dds file, which is rather odd and I would assume indicates something is wrong, though I have no idea what. I am installing it to the correct place, aren't I? Documents\My Games\Gas Powered Games\Supreme Commander Forged Alliance\mods\GAZ_UI_v6.1 With everything inside the GAZ_UI folder?
Edit: Did some hunting around inside the lua files and found the issue, it was expecting everything to simply be in a gaz_ui folder, not gaz_ui_v6.1 which stopped it working properly. All seems to be happy now!

Ah right. It's good you found your problem :)
In the past I'm just used to using the Vault, so I havent had much experience with people directly copying the mod. Of course, Vault is not possible atm since I havent gotten around to uploading the newest version yet >_>

Hi, I have the steam version of FA and I can't figure out how to install your mod. It doesnt come with any install instructions so I thought I would ask here.
EDIT: Mod 6.1 does not work for me. Crashes when I try to start a skirmish

Steam version of FA is 3603(or w/e the ******* number is) as far as i know there weren't any UI changes or things that would break this UI mod, of course i could be mistaken.

have this flawles working with NON-STEAM version and beta 3603 patch .... Dont think 3603 is the problem ....

Hi, i was going to say that the file path to 6.1 is /mods/GAZ_UI_v6.1/ whereas the error is looking in /mods/gaz_ui/ so maybe a simple folder name change to gaz_ui is needed..

I can confirm that this does work properly with the steam version. The mod folder does need to be named "GAZ_UI" like Domino suggested.

I got 6.1 working now, but factory build templates arent saving. Anyone else experiencing this?
EDIT: I can use the hotkey, but not the button described in the readme to set factory build templates. Also, question: Is it possible to set a build template so that when you want to build a factory to, say, upgrade to T3, the template for the factory already has the upgrade commands in the build template, making one click T3 factories possible?

There has clearly being a ton of work put into this mod. I wonder if it would be OK if it just worked without having to rename the mods folder after you unzip it.

Bah, sorry for that. I should have been more careful when I created the zip file. I've replaced the file with one that has the correct folder name, as well as an updated mod_info with a new guid and version, just to do it "right". Hope that helps prevent confusion in the future
