ok i just started to play ranked after messing around with unranked. im playing uef and i havent witnessed the entire balance issue only parts of it. im 13-1 because no cybrans have decided to exploit this. my strat is i dont go for mass conversion and i expand rapidly getting lots of mass. then i throw up air factorys and i throw up a radar early. if he has air up i start spamming wasps since they are better then his fighters. once i grab air control i then spam gunships. iv encountered people whove spammed vehicles and gun ships counter it so hard. i watch the position of them on my radar. once they commit for a attack i swoop in kill half there base throw up turrets where there heading and then fly back in time to kill them off with the help of a few turrets or rock heads. then i fly my gunships back and take care of the rest of the base. gunships mobility and ability to do decent vs land based anti air makes them op and ground forces almost useless. here is where cybran come in. i havent witnissed this iv just been told but aparently the self destruct feature of building kills gunships like no ones buisness so much that you cant go gunships vs cybran. so thats the problem. vs a cybran you can't go gunships and land forces would be useless because all they have to do is spam gunships and that plan is ruined. i may be wrong on all this but from my logic here cybran are massively op.

also by this logic illuminate might be a little up because they have no answer to a uef that spams wasp till he has air control and then swaps over to gunships. if the illuminate made anti air vehicles then the uef could simply throw in a few gunships attack there base and force a slow retreat of both the anti air vehicles and fighter bombers at which point you simply pull out. option 2 is the fighter bombers come back to defend and then you send your wasps in and kill there fighter bombers. option 1 creates a turtle and you simply grab map control and win, and option 2 creates dead units followed by a dead base.


this balance issue isint as present on small maps but still exists.

The really bad thing about gunship OPness is the com snipe once you have 20 to 25 gunships. Go after his com 20 wasp won't stop you before you take him down 4+ shields and 10+ anti air won't stop him befor he takes down your com. If we don't see hafe the balance stuff the PC gets I hope we see an over all air nerf "they should be punished for there mobility".

if you mix in 1 ac 1000 com sniping becomes so easy because the ac stays far enough away not to get hit by the nuke so you can retreat all your gunships once its down to almost no health and let the ac 1000 take care of it.
