This might seem like a minor issue, but it's quite annoying!
I used to play both SC:FA & SC2 with the secondary monitor on, and loved it, I've now upgraded by buying a 3rd monitor (all connected to the same card, not in eyefinity or any other unusual setup) and neither game is able to launch if the options are set to enable dual screen.
I'm wondering if anyone else has run into this problem/knows a solution, or just has a suggestion where else I can dig into or get more useful information.
System info: - Win7 Ultimate 64-bit - DX 9,10,11 all up to date as of a few weeks ago - Ditto for ATI drivers - Primary 30" monitor (over displayport) with two secondary 20" 4:3 (over DVI-D) - XFX ATI 5870 - Core i7 quad @ 3.0GHZ, 6GB (3*2GB) DDR3 RAM
Running the Steam version of the game.
Thanks for any help!

Did u delete your game.perfs after you added your 3rd screen and is the 2nd screen dual linked to your 3rd aka.
1st screen (2nd +3rd)= 2nd screen?

ok , i found my answer at widescreengamingforums.
Kept crashing to desktop repeatedly until I manually edited the config file. Did this with both three screen and one screen configurations, so it's obviously got a pretty crummy inital guess setup.
C:\Users\[Username]\AppData\Local\Gas Powered Games\Supreme Commander 2\Game.prefs
Edit it with notepad and scroll down until you hit options. Change the primary_adaptor = '' field to your resolution and refresh rate (in my case '3150,1680,59'). Should run fine after that.
I think answer should be stickied because I think a lot of people are having issues trying to run this game the first time using multiple screens, the tricked I used was to disable all screens first (not just turn off, unplug completely from the GPU), got the game running then went to edit the game.prefs file using notepad to the desired eyefinity resolution.
