I like one factory no tier style with research/economy to unlock heavy/specialized units.

The best style is Earth 2150 where you research weapons, the chassis and then build your units from scratch for a goal. Sup Com2's approach waters this down to the point where its stupid. So if i had to choose, i would go Earth 2150/60, or failing that, FA.

wasn't Earth 2150 just a Warzone 2100 clone?
that being said, WZ2100 research and creation was awesome.

I never heard of or played war zone, i only found earth2150 in a bargin bin and gave it a try, and ended up loving it. I then rushed to get earth 2160 which i had some fun lan parties playing but ultimately failed to be the same game 2150 was, just felt a little stripped down. It thankfully was not stripped down as much as sup com 2 was, to fa.
