He's mad because he wants GPG to implement his revolutionary new form of path-finding, but Sorian took a look at it and called it crap.

Also because he thinks you can't mod SupCom2.

I'm not mad. Just some humorous trolling. I was playing on the earlier comment by Neph that we should battle it out

He didn't disprove it. He said he would, but he never followed up on that. But the point is not to use my pathfinding algorithm. It's to address fundamental failures of the engine rather than perform cosmetic baind-aid jobs to disguise that the engine is still fundamentally flawed and when pushed to its existing limits is still a system killer.

And I never said you can't mod SupCom 2. You just don't have direct mod support and there is no way you can mod SupCom 2 in the same way as FA. Given enough time I wouldn't be surprised if a Steam update to the game changes the gamefiles to have the entire game incorporated into the engine and goodbye to virtually any form of modding (apart maybe from unit stats for balancing). If not with SupCom 2, then likely with K&C.

Based on the way you guys reacted on the other threads, even going so far as calling Cygvus an angel compared to me, I'd say you're jealous. They need to update the Achievements list to give you something to work for.

I was never in these arguments lol.
A successful troll would provoke everyone else into a shitstorm by being neutral and sit back and watch the lulz. You have not done this and made yourself look just as retarded by posting TL;DR opinions about ****.

I do like the threads, they have made me lol.

From what I understand, the more of the game is in C++ rather than scripts, the better the performance. If this is true, then by all means, port the entire thing into the freaking engine already! Performance > Modability, any day of the week.

Anyways, I've played SupCom2 a bit on my friends' machine, and I didn't really like it, but I also feel that I didn't really give it a fair chance. I may decide to pick it up if it goes on sale again with the DLC.

At the end of the day though, I know that I won't like it as much as FA, mainly because of the scale, the tier system, and the economy. However, as much as I love FA, I can't stand playing that damn thing when after 30 minutes it slows down to all hell!

I know that there have been reports of SupCom2 slowing down, although from what I've heard it's not as much, and it's not as frequent. But yeah, they definitely still have more things to fix. I believe they should aim for having the game run with no slowdown eventually, and I think they are getting closer and closer to that goal with each new iteration of the Moho Engine. Here's to KnC delivering a Supreme experience. :D

Speaking of which, what happened to the damn Vlogs? ><

Yeah, the threads have made me laugh too!!! What has also made me laugh is that despite several attempts by several people, my algorithmic arguments and criticisms of the game engine still stand.

As long as you fundamentally rely on calculating paths, the system inherently has a breaking point - it's just a matter of when it occurs. The band-aid approach is to alter the gameplay so that you delay the time of the breaking point and hopefully the game will end before you reach it.

I agree that the entire game should not run on scripts and instead have everything compiled into the engine. That said, this does not mean the absence of modding support. Since the game is compiled as unmanaged c++, it is still very easy to distribute the engine in obfuscated dll form and allow the modding community to link to it with custom dll's and modules to create custom exe's. But distributing the engine like that is unlikely to happen.

Being called stupid by a SupCom 2 fan certainly does say something.
in fact i did not call you stupid, just made a summary of what you said.
you attemted(failed but still) to imply that SupCom2 forum is a stupidity contest.
well you did register at what you thought is a stupidity contest and stated you're the first here - "madface then the rest" part.
so that simple logic says youre implying that you're the most stupid person here in the contest.

and no, Cygnus is not an angel. he just so fails playing stupid. his brain will always draw him back if he ever tries to contend with you.

they do, right in the bullshit section

I think you just won the stupidity contest with that sentence. The more I read it the less sense it makes.

You're stupid for trying to make sense of it.

You win.

Whenever someone criticizes SupCom 2, people who like the game get into a big frenzy and immediately start fanatically insulting the person. Based on the kinds of insults I've seen and received, including being called a Nazi, I figure that I've earned the right to be at the top of the list. By me putting myself at the top of the list, I am playing along with and mocking all the jokes and insults.

Your ability to reason logically is improving. Keep it up!

Sorry, I don't live in Russia. And make sure you print out that incorrect drawing you made of my algorithm and hang it up on your wall as a reminder of where the real bullsh1t is.

well, before you go down that road again.

took me couple hours to make it working. it is the most basic, cpu and memory consuming algorithm. but it works.
that is how standing algorithmic arguement should look like.
simple demo.
again - prove me wrong. show that you have somthing that works, something that is not garbage.

SE came in, began migrating code into the engine, took away mod support, and will now just release DLC like a candy dispenser.

Uh, no.

Square Enix didn't write a single line of code for SupCom 2, didn't make any suggestions for technical changes related to said code and whether it should be in the engine or script languages, and didn't make any demands or have any opinions whatsoever related to mod support. As for releasing DLC like a "candy dispenser," one DLC a year after a game's release is hardly frequent. By many game's standards, it's downright snail-paced.
