Of course its more fun when the 1000 unit limit is reached by multiple people =)
And Stin, just go play your 20nr 4v4 games, but dont bother us with it. When I comment on gameplay possibilities, I comment on what is even slightly viable. Sure you can attack with 200 workers in starcraft 2, but that doesnt really work either, so people dont consider it. Yes, there is more than ranked games, but even so some kind of gameplay logic is required if you dont live in imaginationland.

Lol, you have never played a FFA with Pulse, have you? splattedone wrote: Or Word. Or Neph. Or Spuddy. Or me. Or Cygnus. Or....
The unit cap in Supcom2 is 500. Actually, when we play FFAs, it's 1000. And it is reached more often than not. Yeah, when we are on setons and it is near the end, the entire landmass is a splotch of two colors (maybe a small third color in the middle) and even the water has a new giant landmass or two.

Firstly, if you had read any of my previous posts, you'd know o don't ever play 20 NR games. Secondly I must apologise. Because I play with rl friends all the time I didnt realise how utterly retarded most of the people who play on gPgnet actually are. Because of this misrepresentation I erroneously thought the situation was not as bad as people describe. Having played the last few days online, i completely understand your frustrations and appreciate my gaming buddies. I urge everyone to get a good core of people to game with. So if anyone is struggling for some decent people to regularly play FA with, pm me, and I'm sure I can hook you up with some decent games.

Quote: Is SupCom 2 literally SupCom FA on a diet? No. It's much worse than that.

If they incorporated a lot of the Supcom 2 stuff into Supcom 1, it'd be perfect.
I love being able to send several hundred units across the map and know they'll get there in formation.
I also think the economy is quite a bit more refined. Simply by kicking the mass/energy numbers low, it keeps things a bit more under control. You get 1 mass per extractor, not 2.4 or 4.1 or some other odd number. That makes it a lot easier to set prices for things and make the game flow a bit better.
If they could get that kind of economy mixed with the "Build according to income" stuff that Supcom 1 had, it'd be amazing.
That said, I also kinda like the limits on Assists that Supcom 2 put in. You can have 3 engies assisting a factory, but no more. I really think Supcom would benefit from that a bit. It'd promote more factories being used instead of a few factories surrounded by engineers. And it'd make using your commander to build a lot more valuable.
