Just as the title says, TA does infact live through supcom2.Her is what I would like to see incorporated from TA into supcom2:

The cybran, as we know them, have this facinating spider technology. We also know that supcom2 has these gorgeous maps full of detail.

Now lets step back to the good ol TA days shall we. TA also had spider tech, but what sets it apart from supcom's spider tech is the fact that the spider tank's in TA can CLIMB!!

I really honestly think if you allowed cybran units to traverse steep turrain it would better use there spider like capabilities.

also, an engineer with spider legs would be a great addition as well,to get to those hard to reach places to set up some long range arty's.

Yes I am aware of air transport, but they can be shot down and all the units on board are dead!!

supreme commander is by far the best rts game out there hands down!! I just know you guys at gpg can push the envelope more!!

So common gpg, go nuts and make us some real CLIMBING spider tanks and MAPS to accommodate them!!

You don't mean comprehensive.

Also, after a full stop, exclamation mark, comma or other similar punctuation you should use a space.

Don't take this the wrong way, but if you expect people to read and respond to your posts then you should take the time and effort to make them easy to read. If you can't be arsed to take the time to correctly format, why should anyone be arsed to take the time to try and decipher it?

There's nothing wrong with your typing - it's not like you're hitting lots of mis-strokes or whatever - it's simply that your formatting makes your posts very difficult to read.


In answer to your original point, while it would be quite cool in some situations, SupCom is NOT TA. That said, you may not be aware but Chris Taylor who runs GPG (and made SupCom and SupCom 2) is the same Chris Taylor who ran Cavedog a(and made TA).

If you want to play TA, I would recommend having a look at some of the TA Spring propjects, e.g. http://springrts.com/wiki/Balanced_Annihilation and others listed here: http://springrts.com/wiki/Games

The terrian required to set up a LRA would have to be fairly flat and inside the land bounderies, so you should just be able to Jump Jet up there.

I'm not sure if GPG will change anything about SupCom2 at this point, but I like the idea of 'the little crawlies'. Maybe we could have highly mobile spider cavalry in King and Castles.

TA still lives because of modding...what would have happened if there was no modding..
