Servo sent me a link to DL this version of GPGnet launcher: v1.5.225.1 Retail. I have managed to login finally, will test out a game tonight. Thanks LD .
we can't get this to work, have made sure its allowed through our firewalls and we can see each other in GPGnet lobby but when we go to launch the game it asks if we want to disband the lobby and won't launch the game with both of us in? Is there a step by step guide describing the whole join through GPGnet procedure we can follow to make sure we are doing it right? cheers
Start GPGnet as admin and in XP SP3 mode for starters. Make sure everyone ticks the ready button? I haven't played Space Siege online for ages so I'm not entirely sure what you're doing wrong. Could you say exactly what you're doing for it to prompt you if you want to disband?
i'm running GPGnet as admin in win7 with xp3 compatibility mode enabled, will ask my mate to do the same. Basically either of us chooses "host custom game" in Gpgnet menu which the other then joins through the same menu. We both select our Characters and click the red circles to make them green and close the other 2 slots, as soon as the host selects the launch button it asks if you want to "disband party" if u click yes or no it launches the game and just waits for other players who never come cause i assume the party being disbanded when the host launches...
Does it fail to connect to the other player if you select no on the disband prompt? Have you forwarded your ports? I'm not 100% sure which ones you'd need but I think they are listed in the game manual. I know that GPGnet uses port 6112 at the very least so start by forwarding that one.
all ports are forwarded, running as admin in win xp sp3 compat. we can both join the lobby but when i launch it asks to disband after starting game, i select no, it asks again i select no it just waits for other players in game, then his finally launches and has same "waiting for other players screen" have tried the yes option too and same end. getting fed up now, my time is worth more than what i paid for this game. thanks anyways, will remove and remember what dev's are worth staying away from.
