I swear this is about the 3rd bug I've reported, lol.
Anyone else noticed that Air Superiority Fighters are now practically useless?
I had one compstomp game on Drake's Ravine recently where I sent 20 Aeon ASFs to destroy an enemy Czar, which was all on it's own, (except for a landed T1 scout plane) and had no nearby friendly AA. Guess what? The Czar won with 74% health remaining. Twenty ASFs, this was. TWENTY. On the PC version, I sent 20 Aeon ASFs against an enemy Czar on White Fire, and they took it out with one pass. WTF?
Another game before that entailed me being UEF on Seton's Clutch. The AI sent a Soul Ripper at me, so I told my 20 UEF ASFs to deviate from their patrols to destroy it. Then I queued up some buildings in my base, looked back at the Soul Ripper about a minute later, and it was at 90% health, by which time it was raping my defensive line I had set up in front of my base. Had I not thought to include those 14 T3 SAM launchers in the line, I would have been a sitting duck.
Later in the same game, a lone enemy ASF flew over my base, and one of my own ASFs deviated from it's patrol to destroy it. It chased it all over the map for about five minutes, firing at it the whole time. The enemy ASF then flew back to the AI's base, where mine was destroyed by the plentiful enemy AA. And guess what? After five minutes of pursuing it around the map, my ASF never got a single hit in.
Finally, early in a game on Fields Of Isis, I had three T1 Interceptors up on patrols, while more were being built. An enemy scout plane flew overhead, and my Interceptors spent a good minute or so playing Cat-And-Mouse with it over my base before they actually managed to shoot it down.

ASFs used to rule the skies in the PC version, but in the 360 version they just can't hit ANYTHING. I swear if I find one more bug I'm going to eat HellBent games' face. >=U

Lol I stopped playing it.

Stick with FA on the computer :)

In Vanilla, SAMs > ASFs anyway. If you make a serious effort to invest in ASFs they should still rape air forces.

In FA, the air experimentals became much weaker. This is either due to the change in ASF damage or a change in the experimentals' hitpoints. If you ever played vanilla supcom on the pc, you may remember that the soulripper was a monstrous flying tank that you had to have like 25+sams in your base to fend off. In FA though, its more about intercepting an air exp with your air before it gets over your base.

lol it looks like the ASF bug is back in the 360 version. With a vengeance.
