An Intro To My Concepts

Supreme Commander 3: Raids of Tyranny is my version of a new entry into this amazing RTS saga. It consists of all kinds of war machines, concepts, mission ideas, characters, origins, etc. I actually started typing and talking about this stuff in the "SupCom suggestions" part of the forum, and since I got a bit creative many people demanded I put my ideas here. With much regards I am pleased to say it has been done and I will update this forum when the time comes.

Raids of Tyranny: New Plot/Story Intro and Concepts

Concept 1
Echoes of the Forgotten Symbionts
During the reign of the Earth Empire and beginning of the Infinite War, Dr. Gustaf Brackman successfully joined an AI component to that of a human host. These hosts who were hand picked, were the first to be planted with his new technology and Brackman hoped with the power of these implants humans would be better adept with advanced calculations and scientific study. They were called Alpha Symbionts and they were not so successful when it came to loyalty and orders. Brackman noted that serious changes had to be made and the Alpha Symbionts felt threatend and destroyed most of the laboratory equippment, they also inflicted serious damage to Brackman himself. The Alpha Symbiont who led this violent attack went by the name of "Shadow Byte". Shadow Byte and his small clan of Alpha Symbionts fled to the nearest space hangar stealing a colony transport which was later taken off to a Quantum Gate and never seen again. Brackman covered up these events and since he was severley injured he seeked medical aid and started to fix up a better cybernetic implant . This time he wasn't alone, and he made sure a new scientific team was made and ready to construct this new technology.

Brackman made sure he would be the next host to under go the procedure, and if it was successful he would start upgrading his own people with this new AI implant. The project was a success and the New Implants didn't have any flaws and issues and so were immediatley implanted into new hosts and were called simply, Symbionts. The Earth Empire were now aware of these Symbionts and they enslaved Brackman's people to do their bidding. Brackman then fled and created his own nation known as the Cybran and fought in the Infinite War to liberate his children. Shadow Byte and his clan of Alpha Symbionts watched in the shadows secretly gathering new intel on humanity's colonial expansions and he also made sure spies were placed in strategic locations around the galaxy. Shadow Byte sought to rid Brackman later in time and so he decided to cause a bit of anarchy in one system, specifically on the planet known as Seraphim 2.

Raids of Tyranny: New Plot Updated

Concept 2
Xeno Decimation
After the events back with Brackman and his symbionts, humanity staged a colony on Seraphim 2 and these people were exposed to the first ever recorded extra-terrestrial civilization dubbed the Seraphim. They were a peacefull species who interacted with the colonists very well and they helped these people understand something known as "The Way". Knowing that humanity was exposed to an alien species, the Earth Empire dispatched forces known as the Xenophobic Soldiers to rid the Seraphim, due to the fact humans were changing in behavior and acting ubnormally. Since the Armored Command Units were not created yet, only infantry robots and other standard assault units were sent via colonial space transports through the Quantum Gates. Before reaching the planet Seraphim 2, the Xenophobic attack force were required to make stops at certain outposts along the way to refuel and meet up with another transport of troops known as the Retribution. Earth Empire communications told the force that they lost contact with the Retribution at one of the fueling depots and that they should investigate.

As the colonial transports went through the gates, an unexpected enemy awaited them at the 3rd refueling outpost, the outpost where the Retribution last contacted them. Shadow Byte and his Alpha Symbionts beat the Xenophobic task force and siezed and pillaged the transport by simply destroying the fuel depot while it was docked and the Xenophobic Task Force was left severly crippled. With such success Shadow Byte left his second in command known as Unit: 9 to become the new commander of the task force and their main objective remained the same: decimate all seraphim. The original Xenophobic Earth Commander was killed by Unit: 9 to ensure who was in charge and he used his vicious violence to commence the invasion on Seraphim 2. Shadow Byte then resumed command of his new colonial transport the Retribution and headed through the opposite gate to find a new secret homeworld where he could build upon his own society in a nuetral territory zone.

Raids of Tyranny: Beginning Story Con't

Concept 3
Integral Deception
As the Xenophobic Soldiers rained down from above, Unit: 9's cybran transport which was stolen earlier from Brackman's hangar contained a nuclear device which was given to him by Shadow Byte. The invading forces headed for the capital of Seraphim 2 where most of the Seraphim were staged, and detonated the nuke remotley leaving the city in ruins. All Seraphim were killed and this left many humans on Seraphim 2 in a stage of unforgiving hatred, and vowed to cleanse the galaxy of people who didn't believe in The Way, with this belief and vow of revenge the Aeon Illuminate were formed. After the nuclear detonation Unit: 9 leaves Seraphim 2 and transmitts to Shadow Byte that the mission was completed. Shadow Byte then tells Unit: 9 to create a staging point on Seraphim 2's orbiting moon where they may watch the ever vengeful Aeon Illuminate rebuild their army.

After many years during the Infinite War Princess Rhianne Burke rose to the throne of her civilization. As the war raged on ACU's were created for better combat efficiency and rapid army generation. Knowing this Princess Burke recruited many commanders to serve her and the homeworld. One young commander known as Xzor proved to her that he was the best choice and also showed his combat skills with an ACU by decimating an invading Cybran army with the odds in their favor. Pleased, Princess Burke took Xzor as her right hand man in times of great need, even if she did not know him that well. Xzor's lust for power got a hold of him and the Princess was his top priority to kill. As the Princess was speaking to Xzor in private he all of a sudden reveals he is the rightful heir to the throne, and soon attempts to murder her by shooting her with a plasma pistol. With failure the Princess ran and alerted guards while Xzor mysteriously vanishes into the shadows of the Royal Palace.

Xzor then radios back to the orbiting moon of Seraphim 2 and informs his secret master no other than Unit: 9, the mission resulted in failure. As for Princess Burke she informs her council that Xzor dissappeared and that he most likely was working with somebody presumeably the United Earth Federation.

Raids of Tyranny: New Intro Con't

Concept 3.B
Secret of Xzor
Before Princess Burke rose to power Unit: 9 dispatched Cybran Infiltrators on certain less seedier regions of Seraphim 2 to find a very good captain who would serve as a pawn for his secret doings. This pawn would then be implanted with a Cybernetic Nueral Parasite which was created by Shadow Byte and his very own team of Cybran scientists back on his home region. These parasites were very small mind controlling insect like implants which would infect the spinal cord of the victim, and wrap its small legs up to the cerebral cortex of the brain. Shadow Byte wanted to prove that Brackman wouldn't be the only 1,000 year old genius in the galaxy, but since he did not want to expose himself just yet, these operations had to remain stealthy and secret. Unit: 9 then found a special commander who went by the name of Xzor, who proved an aptitude for ACU commanding, and so was infected with the Cybernetic Parasite.

Xzor's mission was to kill the Princess who just recently rose to power, and if he succeeded, a throne of power awaited him to command the ever growing Aeon Civilization. Creating a plan was not easy due to the fact Princess Burke was a heavily guarded individual by both the council (including Evaluator Toth) and armed guards. When Unit: 9 recieved Xzor's transmission he was immediatley picked up by a transport which then took him back to Seraphim 2's moon. The reason being was to turn Xzor into an Illuminate Alpha Symbiont, which were orders given to Unit: 9 by Shadow Byte himself.

Birth of the Watchers
Xzor became an Alpha Symbiont and a very potential one, as he felt the symbiotic feeling very godlike. As the years passed Shadow Byte implants more people with these Cybernetic Nueral Parasites. UEF individuals preferably the ones in politics were infected first to serve him and ensure he had full control over major military and political decisions in strategic UEF controled regions. Soon enough after the events at the Black Sun Facility, Shadow Byte got word about the ever traitorous computer known as QAI and how he served an alien race. Shadow Byte was originally unaware of Brackman's custom AI, but since he had many spies infected by the parasites intel was very easy to come by without exposing himself. As a rift opened upon planet Earth many cities were ravaged by the aliens and the Cybran, UEF, and Illuminate had unite to slow down the invasion and make a push through their forces.

The Coalition was the name given to the united factions and Shadow Byte used this new government to his advantage thanks to his infected individuals feeding him intel on the inside. Many years went by and the Alpha Symbionts had to upgrade their functionalities to better suit their needs. Immediatley their brains were transplanted into bio mechanical suits which were then upgraded to hardend bipedal combat chassis'. These menacing chassis gave the ability of Shadow Byte and his clan of Alpha Symbionts to move, walk and even fight hand to hand combat with extreme precision and force (think of it as Terminator, but being controlled by a human cybernetic brain). And so the secret society dubbed The Watchers was born...

Known Watchers of the Galaxy
Shadow Byte: He is younger than Brackman by a decade and is the twisted leader of the Watchers who seeks to destroy Brackman and rule the Cybran Nation as well as the galaxy.

Unit: 9: Second in command to Shadow Byte and Watcher of planet Seraphim 2, he was responsible for leading the invasion force of Xenophobic Soldiers and catalyst for ingniting the Aeon's involvement in the Infinite War.

Xzor: First infected being to under go the Cybernetic Parasite, he was originally supposed to assassinate Princess Burke, but failed and was turned into an Alpha Symbiont or what he calls a "Shadow Aeon".

Only 3 more Alpha Symbionts remain and they were part of the original rebellion back at Brackman's lab. Together these Alpha Symbionts and Shadow Byte formulated a plan to develope a structure known as the Ziggurat which would form the the base of their true plan. The Coalition was winning the war agianst the Seraphim and it was only a matter of time before peace entered the galaxy. An Archon of Destruction had to be made to ensure peace did not prevail, and that archon would be the tool used by the Watchers for galactic anarchism.

Raids of Tyranny: Lore Con't

Concept 4
Origins of the Archon
After the events of the Black Sun incident, Shadow Byte recieves word that Brackman created a super computer known as QAI and that it was actually a servant to the alien race known as the Seraphim. As the Seraphim invaded human controlled space, many colonies fell to the quantum based beings. The Watchers had to strategically pick the right colony to search for any civilian survivors without drawing attention to both the Coalition and Seraphim. In order that this crucial mission succeeded Shadow Byte decided to send his trusted enforcer known as Slade. Slade was a much bulkier and bigger alpha symbiont compared to the others and so had a much more heavily armored chassis. As Slade's transport entered the atmoshphere, he immediatley jumps out in his custom "sub command unit" and begins the search for survivors. Rallying all he can, Slade comes across the only known living boy in the colony that survived the Seraphim raid. Under orders of Shadow Byte, Slade had to kill the boy's family and ensure that he reached the transport by all means necessary. Scared, the boy runs for his family and Slade jumps out of the manned cockpit in his sub command unit to chase him on foot.

With unmatched stamina Slade quickly catches up and finds the boy's home and his parents. The boy's father attempts to fight, but Slade's monstrous mechanical appearence quickly took care of the family by slaughtering them in front of the boy's eyes. Angry the boy tries to fight back, but instead is picked up and taken to the sub command unit. All of a sudden a Seraphim "land assault" mop up party was faintly seen in the distance rapidly approaching the colony to destroy any remaining humans. Slade quickly got aboard his Cybran transport and headed for the newly constructed Ziggurat Facility, where the boy would build and train himself to be the Galactic Archon of Destruction.

These "intro" concepts all take place during the surpassed Supreme Commander games and begin to fill in some loop holes as well as some more in depth story to the real actions that started galactic conflict in the system. It took a lot of thinking to design and create a very menacing villian and what better way to start from the roots of this amazing RTS. All characters would have their roles in the plot and I try very hard to come up with good names and a sense of placement.

Alpha Symbiont Characters:
Shadow Byte: The Alpha Symbiont, creator of The Watchers, responsible for the rebellion back at Brackman's personal lab, has a colony staged in a secret/unknown location in the galaxy

Unit: 9: Second in command to Shadow Byte, killed the original Earth Empire Commander of the Xenophobic task force and commanded the task force on his own to destroy the aliens on the colony of Seraphim 2, establishes a facility which over watches the status of Seraphim 2

Xzor: Great Aeon Commander who decieves Princess Burke, first human to be controlled via a "cybernetic parasite", is changed into a new violent killing machine (Alpha Symbiont) or what he calls a Shadow Aeon, serves Unit: 9 and his commands, and is the youngest amongst the society of the Watchers

Slade: The personal enforcer of Shadow Byte, responsible for the reclamation of a suitable/young canidate to train and become the "Archon of Destruction", the heaviest and bulkiest Alpha Symbiont, is only called for great need by Shadow Byte

????: She is the over seer of all Cybernetic Parasites and intel feeder to Shadow Byte and the Watchers, she also is the symbiont responsible for creating the Cybernetic Nueral Parasite

????: This symbiont rebelled/backstabbed Shadow Byte due to the fact that he wanted to become the leader, since this guy was a little to volatile he was put into a cryo escape pod and was sent into space, thought to be never seen again...

Raids of Tyranny: Previous Missions of the Strato Cons

Tutorial Mission
Alpha Raid: Gavin's first raid on a UEF colony to prove himself to the Watchers using the power of the Cybran faction and their units, afterwards he is taken to an arena to battle hired commanders belonging to all core factions, only to disobey orders and get thrown into a UEF slam by an alpha symbiont known as Xzor.

Core Missions
Labyrinth Catalyst: Gavin escapes the prison with two other lueitenants at his side stealing a UEF Transport and using an old functioning quantum gateway, Gavin also destroys the UEF warden of the facility using hit and run tactics with new UEF machines known as Purge Marines.

A Forgotten Moon: Gavin's quantum gate takes him to a system filled with worlds with a purpose only for waste disposal, here he is persued by an Illuminate bounty hunter named Tycho who reveals that Gavin has a massive price on his head along with the other convicts who elegedly escaped. Tycho also reveals that more hunters are on the trail, and that the others are far more lethal.

Junkyard Staunch Formulation: Gavin and his lueitenants hide and survive on the harsh scrap world for a year and are finally found by a lethal merc team known as the "Night Reign" led by Cleave who has appeared on the world via a massive space frigate powered by a drive core and a new fuel known as helium 3, nothing stands in his way and Sabrina, Gavins's 2nd in command must fight to the death.

Secrets of the Federation: Gavin and his lueitenants steal Cleave's Space Frigate and jump into a new system with a new heading to find a secret UEF military colony rumored to hold seraphim technology, here Gavin must confront a man named Captain Clyde who guards the red planet's colony as well as its secrets.

Above are the first steps of the new faction known as the Strato Cons. Gavin formed this new faction out of the forgotten machinery found on the lonesome moon he hid upon for a year. While fighting many advesaries Gavin finally sets out to find a new homeworld along side with Dredd and Sabrina as his lueitenants and the liberated UEF scientists and civilians from the red planet who are all aboard a space frigate previously owned by a merc named Cleave.

Raids of Tyranny: A new mission and the end of an Act Part 1

A Scorched Return
The last fan fiction mission of the Raids of Tyranny :(
As Gavin the Strato Lord, Sabrina, Dredd and the many new colonists on board the Space Frigate travel through space to a new world one of the scientists from the red planet (secret UEF military base) explains the schematics have been uploaded. Pleased, Gavin had the all new weapon known as the "Desintegrator Gun", never before seen by any commander (except him of course). As everyone enters into a hyper sleep stasis for the long journey, Gavin proceeds to his ACU to do some new calibrations, while he does this the Space Frigate's alarm is triggered, and many space projectiles rupture the outer hull of the ship. Wondering how the shields were down Gavin ready's his crew for a very rough landing. Dredd continues to fly the ship while Sabrina jumps in her ACU to round everyone onto a Tech Lv. 2 Armored Assault Transport. As many people die escape pods are loaded with lost civilians, Scrap Drones as well as Construction Bots and are all soon shot out of the Space Frigate towards an unknown planet. Dredd tries to control the ship as it enters the atmoshpere, and the entire hull of the Space frigate makes a scorched entrance.

As half the ship breaks a part the main engines are destroyed leaving Dredd in a very bad position. Sabrina is loaded on one of the transports in the hangar and is already outside flying to a safe zone with the others. Gavin on the other hand braces himself for a heavy impact towards one of the planet's lakes. As the second half of the frigate crashes, Gavin engages a hunker stasis ability in mid-air to lessen the great impact. Dredd's status is unknown and the hour of day was quickly reaching its ending. Night soon approaches and Gavin seems to be tested to the max to succumb aginst such greivances. Not knowing where his team mates are, Gavin tries to communicate only to get high frequency static and blurbs of yelling.

Back To The Basics
As the mission begins the screen zooms out to reveal the second half of the crashed Space Frigate sticking out of the lake. Gavin punches and shoots his way out of the jammed hangar doors and stands on one side of the hull. Looking around, this frigate wreckage acts as a massive island you can start to construct a base upon. Knowing their is plenty of space around you start to build "Tech Lv.1 Energy Nodes", Gavin then states their are no mass deposits and so starts to build "Tech Lv. 1 Mass Fabricators". As your economy slowly starts to build up Gavin notices some more structure add-on/adjacent bonus upgrades found at his research center. One upgrade is as follows: "build 4 Tech Lv. 1 Energy Nodes 2x2. Next select one of the Nodes and hit the upgrade icon. As you do this you have the ability to build a "Wind Generator". You can assist with production and having many of these Wind Generators helps your energy production". As you start to add on to your economic structures and upgrade their efficencies building an air factory is your next objective.

If running to low on mass, it would be possible to reclaim bits and pieces of the Space Frigate's hull gradually making your island smaller! If you do this tactic and start to build many structures and mobile/combat units the Space Frigate island will start to sink due to too much weight!

As you build up your Armored Assault Transports, Gavin states to build a landing party to help recon and find any survivors as well as Sabrina and Dredd. Bringing along Construction Bots is good option as well to help assist you in building a new base on shore. A wise commander would send out air scouts to get a good feel for whats going on around his island, so Gavin activates new schematics to construct the Tech Lv. 1 Air Scout known as "Rust Bullet". As you send your scouts out over the body of water you come to land and notice gigantic woodland trees that mess up aircraft flight patterns. The brush is too thick to spy on the woodland floor and if you use strategic zoom you only see the tops of the woods! Knowing now air scouts are blind Gavin commences his shore party. As you land you set up a radar installation to detect etched or burried mass deposits. Successful, you start to build some extractors and your economy starts to grow some more. This woodland forrest is huge and these all new alien trees grow miles high!, as you use strategic zoom you notice the map itself is huge (just like a classic Supreme Commander map!).

Nocternal Assault
As you send in some Scrap Drones to look for survivors Gavin upgrades radar installations again to detect genissoned pod signatures from the Space Frigate. As you do this five signatures are visible and it is your objective to find and secure the survivors. As you send in your Scrap Drones and your Tech Lv. 2 Anti-Armor units known as "Treadder Drones" you soon come across a new indigenous alien species. Massive in size they skewer your forces using acidic saliva. Extremely alien and insectoid in appearence, this new species seems to be the main creature of this world, and Gavin already starts to notice sub classes. Small Workers that are the size of Scrap Drones (Light Assault Bots) act as cannon fodder against your forces, but are still vicious and deadly while the bigger ones rhino charge against your squadrons of units tearing all robotic limbs off of each drone and tank.

Dubbed as "Parasites" these colony woodland dwellers attack in swarms only to defend their terf and gather food. Working like ants, these alien parasites will work and colaborate together to bring each wreckage limb and piece back to their "hive" to be consumed or recycled into a new machine called "Cyber Mites". These new hybrid machines are part organic and part wreckage and you must destroy each hive that recycles your units. There are many hive entrances around your map and the operation area expands to reveal more land. As you siege each hive you must also be weary about the Space Pod signatures emmitted on your map. If you find a space pod you must use your Tech Lv. 2 "Grapple Cripplers" to launch their cables and pull it back to your base. As you do this multiple times the last pod is located stuck in a tree guarded by three hives. Here a new Parasite type emerges from one of the holes and this one is known as the "Acid Lord" which is the largest parasite class of all the other sub types.

"Parasite" Sub Classes:
Gatherers
Spew Stalkers
Charge Chewers
Cyber Mites
Acid Lords

The Acid Lord acts as an experimental in sense due to it's shear size and defensive weaponry. It spews out a steady stream of integral green corrosive acid melting anything that gets in its way including Gavin's prototype Siege Jaguars. If that was not enough the spinal cord of this creature lobs artillery sacs each holding a random sub class of a parasite including the ones that gather, rhino charge and spew acid. The only way to kill it is to use your forces and attack it's weak points which would be the glowing green sacs on its limbs. Once all the limbs are down the creature oozes blood all over the place squirming around trying to take out more of your units. You must then risk flying bombers through the woods to destroy it's under belly finally killing the creature. Gavin's Tech Lv. 2 "Impactor" Armored Assault Bombers are outfitted with a special kind of payload and raining down all you got is the only way to succeed, although you must be aware of the "Spew Stalkers" which can attack flying units.

This mission would be designed as the toughest mission yet, taking a fresh start at what Supreme Commander would be like when fighting organic life forms and further more expanding, upgrading and multitasking with all of your units. These new "Parasites" are indigenous to this gigantic woodland forrest world and seem to be a dominant enemy as well. As the player succeeds in finding all the Space Pods, Gavin is suddenly haled by a new character over his comm, one that was never aboard his Space Frigate in the first place...

Raids of Tyranny: New Mission Part 2

A Scorched Return
A New Predator
As you defeat the Acid Lord a new character communicates with Gavin calling himself "Nero, New Leader of the Seven Hand Node". Not knowing what the Seven Hand Node was, Gavin continues to fight the Parasites who keep attacking his base. By now the player would have built tons of dragons teeth as well as all kinds of defensive turrets. Nero explains that he saw the entire space vessel split into two parts and knows where to find a better foot hold to help fight against the "Lock-Jaw Slashers". Even more confused Gavin asks how he is communicating with Nero and he simply states that he was in control the entire time. As the operation area expands a massive portion of the woods is revealed. In this new part of the alien woods lies an old fortress built by early ancient UEF long ago and it seems like a good staging ground to expand a new base. Gavin suddenly notices it becomes all quiet and suddenly your screen blips a WARNING! Automatically you enter strategic zoom and the screen zooms all the way over to your Space Frigate Island where you built your first base. A terrifying gargantuan carnivore that dwarfs the "UEF King Kriptor" comes from the other side of the lake quickly coming to feast upon the floating land mass. Biting chunks of steel as well as your base, soon the island is quickly left mutilated and the creature starts to head towards your next base built on the shore. Your new objective is to simply guide your ACU to the waypoint as quickly as possible.

Nero starts to taunt you at fighting this creature due to the fact your forces are puny compared to it & with such a thick and bony hide it's skeletal structure is to strong for any projectiles! Nero also states that this creature was the one he was talking about earlier and that this so called Lock-Jaw Slasher comes to feast upon the natural "Parasites" and keep their population in check so they do not forage the entire woodland realm. As you approach the old "UEF Fortress" Gavin the Strato Lord becomes surprised at how massive the walls were, quickly looking for a way in the only option is through a gate. As you are being chased, the Lock-Jaw Slasher heads to other hives to feed upon the many parasites, crushing them in it's menacing razor sharp teeth. As you enter the fortress Gavin shoots a winch closing the gate entrance. Made naturally out of some rotting stumps and roots, this fortress was founded by a UEF colonial expedition long ago. Knowing the reason why nobody dares to come to this world is quickly realized due to the fact no one can survive against these vicious creatures of the night.

Strike of the 7 Hand Node
Safe inside the megalithic fortress, you start to build a new base again. As you zoom in and out you notice that the inside of this fortress has a big water resovoir towards the back capable of holding a naval factory. As Gavin downloads his new schematics you have the ability to create Tech Lv.1 Patrol Boats and Assault Frigates. Building and upgrading everything in your arsenal is the only way to ensure your survival. As you are doing this to your base, you can here the moans and roars emmitted from the Lock Jaw Slasher who seems to be circling outside the perimeter of the fortress walls. Radar cannot detect the creature's signature, but you can see the screen shake as you zoom into the fog of war. Once you build up a scout force of ships, Nero transmits that he is sending in gunships to attack the creature. Puzzled Gavin asks what is the point due to the fact the creature's hide is impenatrable and immune to conventional weapons and experimentals.

As the Cybran gunship signatures enter your radar rage they start to change course and head towards your base. Nero attacks your mass extractors and starts to constantly harass you, it is here where simply states he never has seen a nuclear detonation go off at night in the alien woods. Pissed, Gavin works double time to build "Sky Skewer" AA Bots and other Anti-Air Turrets. All of a sudden another "WARNING blip" goes off on the players screen, moving it up towards some random part of your fortress. The Ancient and Gigantic steel doors with the UEF logo on it embedded directly into the floor start to slowly open to reveal something unexpected by both Nero and Gavin. A massive custom built UEF ACU crawls out of the dungeon or what Gavin thinks an ancient ACU gantry.

The Return of Cleave
Cleave leader of the "Night Reign" mercenary team starts to attack some of your base, but his main objective is to use overcharge against the gate you shut to keep the Lock-Jaw Slasher out. While Cleave attempts to head down to the gate he talks to you on how it was him from the beginning who lowered the shields on the Space Frigate and that he wanted to ensure a crash landing was prority one. Cleave also states that he has not come alone and that the rest of his merc squad was already high in orbit aboard a new Space Frigate commanded by his second in command known as "Goliath". As Cleave continues to march to the gate he continues to destroy your troops as well as Nero's gunships. Knowing that so much bounty was located on this world Cleave decides to keep the 7 Hand Node under wraps, to ensure his merc squad was the only one to be aware of this and take all the bounty for themselves. Cleave tells Gavin a story about a Cybran known as "Hex 5" who was said to dislike the legendary Gustaf Brackman himself as well as his decisions, and how he branched off and created the little splinter group called the 7 Hand Node. Not, really caring of the past Gavin asks how a second Frigate was undetected back on the Scrap Moon.

Cleave simply states the two Space Frigates are different in terms of technology, and that the one Gavin stole was actually a simple freighter with a big enough cargo bay to hold Armored Command Units as well as bunch of other things. As the story goes on Gavin attacks Cleave using all the available ground forces as well as aerial forces that were rapidly being asissted from the factory via Construction Bots. As Cleave attacks with overcharge the gate starts to slowly come apart piece by piece. Nero on the other hand starts to take this as an advantage to strike at the heart of Gavin's base. It is here where the player would be up to the ultimate multi tasking test: Destroy Cleave and protect the gate while also defending yourself from Nero's aerial craft/gunships.

As Cleave's MCU takes considerable amounts of damage, Cleave states that he has one more trick to pull before he leaves. He tells Gavin that the female commander known as Sabrina who fought him back on the Scrap Moon has been collected by his second in command as well as the rest of his merc team on board the Space Frigate that was orbiting this world. Knowing that Gavin has feelings for her, Cleave decides to use this moment as leverage and decides to leave the woodland realm. Cleave activates a never before seen feature of his MCU known as the "Helium Gauntlets" that allow him to fly high into the atmoshpere like a rocket. It seems Cleave gained this new technology from the wrecked frieghter's engine propulsion system. As he does this Cleave's new Space Frigate enters above the canopy of the woods and Cleave quickly jumps aboard escaping once again. Knowing that the only option was to persue Cleave and the Night Reign merc team Gavin must find a way off this planet, but must first deal with Nero and his base of operations located deep within the woodland realm.

The mission conclusion draws close, and Gavin must continue to defend and eventually attack Nero and his so called 7 Hand Node base of operations. Knowing now that Cleave leader of the Night Reign merc team is still alive Gavin must now find a new way off this gigantic woodland world. If that was not enough the player must contend with the deadly creatures that prowl this world and using your naval units could be the key to winning this battle, or so it would seem...

Raids of Tyranny: New Mission Concept part 3

A Scorched Return
Intercepted Retaliation
As Cleave activated his propulsion helium gauntlets, Gavin was able to scan a signature reading off of his MCU. The Space Frigate that hovered right above the woodland canopy was even bigger then the one he stole back on the scrap moon, and as it left the thrusters and engine boosters propelled the massive craft through the night leaving an invisible trail of engine molecules. With this trail Gavin would beable to track down Cleave and the Space Frigate to save Sabrina. Gavin already knows Cleave would have the upper hand, because it is lead to believe that Cleave himself will touch down on some sort of battlefield where he would have the home advantage. After the mini scuffle with Cleave, Nero decides to hit you with another wave of gunships. As they do this Gavin notices bigger versions of gunships and these ones packed a much more heavy duty firepower to deal with his upgraded structures.

In retaliation Gavin starts to construct the all new Tech Lv. 3 Interceptors known as "Scavenger". The Scavenger Interceptors tear apart any gunship and the weapons it is outfitted with are small nano shards that when exploded eat away at any mechanical component that literally just dissolves the entire unit. Building these Scavengers takes time, as they are expensive in terms of build time, so having Construction Bots of all tech levels would be helpfull. Seeing that Gavin's base was a hornet's nest in terms of defense Nero tries to use a different tactic by loading and ferrying all his land forces around your map/perimeter to go for the gate Cleave was trying to destroy. To defend yourself building up more land defenses would be key at securing the gate. Gavin notices that the woods are to thick for Nero to flank, but risking it is what Nero likes. To make matters worse, Nero upgraded his Cybran transports with new Stealth Technology. As Nero's transports enter the Lock-Jaw Slasher's territory, his transports start to open fire upon it. The massive alien creature retaliates by trying to swat the transports with its claws as well as it tail that seemed to have mandibles of its own!

The Creature is successful at destroying two transports, and Gavin can see the bits and pieces of "Loyalists", "Hunters", "Adaptors", & what seems to be a new smaller version of the original "Brick" back from the old forged alliance, quickly rain down upon the woodland floor. As the other transports unload Gavin notices another new and large Cybran Unit called the "Dominator". Nero explains that his Tech Lv. 3 Armored Assault Machines are outfitted with all kinds of advanced lasers that can puncture and burn through any organic matter. Gavin immediatley sees that Nero was bluffing do to the fact many Dominators fell to the shear power of the Lock-Jaw Slasher's "Chewing Ability" (picking up large units with its mouth and crushing with its powerful jaws as well as stomping on the little "Hunters and "Storm Walker" rocket bots). To even out the playing field a bit, Gavin decides to backwards engineer off of the destroyed Dominators. While the massive creature was occupied with Nero's forces Gavin tells one of his Construction Bots to repel down the fortress walls and reclaim a sample of the Dominator's wreckage.

Key of the Parasites
While successfully reclaiming the wreckage, Gavin instructs the same Construction Bot to run all the way over to where he first fought the "Acid Lord". Reclaiming this orgainc matter of the Acid Lord could be the key at creating a new weapon type. As you complete these tasks Gavin tries to fuse these two pieces of material to design a new Tech Lv. 3 Armored Assault Machine. If conventional man made weapons could not defeat the massive creature maybe organic material will, so Gavin outfits his Armored Assault Machine with an ammo swapping system. Heavy Duty Guass projectiles infused with acidic slug rounds could possibly penetrate the creature's thick, razor sharp and bony hide, if that was not enough Gavin gave the ability to switch to a continuos acid stream launcher that works like a flame thrower, the only set back is that the acid tanks have limited storage capacity meaning that the ammo would have to be mannually built after it runs out. Gavin calls his new Tech Lv. 3 Acid Assault tank the "Nightmare".

The Nightmare Acid Armored Assault Tank is one of the most lethal weapons in the Strato Cons' arsenal. This tank can upgrade itself to have garrison scrap pods, meaning that a handful of Scrap and/or Vex Drones (Light Assault Rocket Bots) can provide direct fire support against enemy units while being safe on board the tank.

As the Tech Lv. 3 Acid Assault Tank's schematics have been downloaded, your next order would be to simply construct many of them and field test them on the Lock-Jaw Slasher. The "Nightmare" tanks are so big that only one of them can fit on your air transport carrier's clamp. Luckily for you though, is that Gavin's Armored Assault Transports have a seperate cargo bay with hangar doors located on both sides of the ship. The Acid Assault Tank simply hangs from the bottom of the ship for easy deployment. Since Gavin had the power of acidic rounds, he decides to upgrade his Tech Lv 1 Rocket Bots with corrosive explosive rockets that (if in hordes/clusters) do tremendous damage.

The Woodland Field Test
As the player builds all kinds of land units as well as aerial forces, Gavin orders you to deploy them at a marked waypoint. As you ferry them to the waypoint, Nero continues to attack your base to catch you off guard. Knowing that your defenses can easily skewer any aircraft, you simply would have to continue at using your mobile forces and deploying them to fight against the gigantic carnivore that circles your fortress. As you move your forces into assault position the Lock-Jaw Slasher charges trying to destroy any little unit that gets in the way. The "Nightmare" Acid Tank's ammunition successfully packs the punch to hurt the creature's tough skeletal exterior. Roaring and moaning in a hideous way, you start to notice the battlefield shake. As you zoom out you see not one but two more Lock-Jaw Slashers coming down from different sides of the woods. Looking very different from another, Gavin realizes that these massive predators must hunt in packs or groups of threes.

Here, Nero states that these Lock-Jaw Slashers do hunt in packs and that there is actually an "Alpha Male" that seems to be much more aggressive then the other three. Not knwoing where the Alpha Male was, Gavin continues to fight the three that seemed to appear out of nowhere.

As you start to fight three Lock-Jaw Slashers the operation area expands revealing large water ways for the navy you built early on to access. Gavin outfits his Tech Lv. 2 Assault Cruisers with the acidic ammuntion upgrade to help at killing these beasts of the night. As you move your navy in they start to pound everything they got at one of the Lock-Jaw Slashers. Quickly melting the bony hide, Gavin sends in some "Impactor" Tech Lv.1 armored assault bombers to deliver some deadly payload. As one of them goes down (killing any unit underneath) the creature moans and roars oozing blood from its wounds. As time goes by, another creature falls to your forces and Nero seems to be impressed at your actions, as he never defeated any of these creatures before. Seeing that two creatures fell already to the machines of war, the third Lock-Jaw Slasher retreats thudding into the dark of the night. In celebration at defeating the Lock-Jaw Slashers, Gavin decides to finally attack Nero's headquarters.

Raids of Tyranny: New Mission Concept Part 4 of 4

A Scorched Return
The Secret Elite Guard
As you defeat the Lock-Jaw Slashing life forms, and witness the third retreat deep into the woods gives you the time to hunt and eventually destroy the backstabbing Nero. With your all new units including the "Nightmare" Armored Assault Machine as well as your naval fleet, you must simply follow the river channel to find Nero's 7 Hand Node underground base. As the operation area expands, two stealthed outposts appear between your forces and Nero's base. Guarding these two outposts are two commanders affiliated with the 7 Hand Node named "Jet" and "Thunder". These two commanders use their different ACU's as a very tactical tool, to better support each other. Jet's command unit is outfitted with all economic upgrades, while Thunder's is outfitted with artillery type weapons and other combat arramnents.

It is here where Nero states that these fellow commanders have been here the entire battle ever since you crashed landed & told them to keep their mouths shut until the time was right, but even these guys play a significant role in the plot.

As you move in your assault force and navy, sieging commences upon the commander Jet. As Jet requires reinforcements, Nero reveals an amphibious fleet of Brick MK 2's that quickly crawl out of the river channel. Nero calls his new version of the Brick a "Tool of War", and as they all pour in, destroying them with long range cannons (Naval Units) as well as depth charges, torpedoes while being backed up by your heavier forces (Nightmares) can easily remove the horde. Quickly running out of options Jet, tries to load upon a Cybran Armored Assault Transport, to head back to Nero's base, which was located deeper into the woods. As Jet leaves, Thunder unleashes his naval force to take on yours. If you are unprepared, Thunder's navy will commence on moving down the channel to open fire in your base.

As Jet's base gets hammered, Thunder starts to prep up more anti-armor turrets, and while all this is happening Nero sends in the rest of his gunships to back them up. Constantly spewing out combat units of all sorts is required to counter all of the 7 Hand Node's forces. Thunder's base is built on a gigantic rotting alien tree log that sits in the middle of a swamp basin, which is located at the end of the river channel, Tech Lv. 2 "Cerberus Gaat Guns" as well as heavy artillery installations are peppered throughout the outpost. As your navy moves in to counter Thunder's Tech Lv. 2 Destroyers known as the "Enforcers", a new terror of the deep shows itself. Nero decides to send in a gigantic experimental dubbed the "Kraken". As the Kraken surfaces to back up Thunder's Enforcers, it quickly shoots out eight very powerful continuous laser beams that tear away at your Frigates and Cruisers. If you have air units, making the Kraken your primary target is a must, and if you can back up your navy with some amphibious Grapple Cripplers, they could come in handy as well.

Something to Fear
As many naval units fall on both sides, Thunder admits that he admires the way you think in terms of tactics and strategies. He begins to question Nero why he attacked Gavin in the first place if he was just a man caught in a survival situation and needed assistance. Nero tells Thunder never to question his authority, but Thunder reveals that Nero is not the leader of the 7 Hand Node. Thunder says that a very old robotic looking symbiont who called himself "Duragon" was the actual founder, and that Hex 5 was the one who discovered him in some cryo pod that was found on a distant world. Gavin recognizes the details Thunder explains, and he states that it is possible he was an Alpha Symbiont. Nero, is surprised to quickly find out that Gavin knew so much, and immediatley begins to question his origins. As the conversation continues the sun begins to rise and beams of gleaming sun light are emmitted through the woodland canopy.

As the Kraken continues to destroy your forces, the deep swampy channel begins to rumble and a massive alien mouth locks the experimental submarine within its gigantic razor sharp teeth. Kraken tentacles, shrappnel and all other matters of black and red metal fall and float into the water. The Alpha Male Lock-Jaw Slasher emerges up from underneath the entire naval battle in a more aggressive entrance then the others. With a holy **** response, Thunder demands more reinforcements, but Nero simply states that his sacrifice is necessary via his nuclear explosion. This extremely aggressive creature destroyed an experimental with one chew of its mouth ripping it into pieces that fell into the swampy river. Since Nero made his decision, Thunder talks to Gavin about an alliance to stop the creature. Thunder states that he can lead you to Duragon the Alpha Symbiont aka the father of the 7 Hand Node. Without hesitation Gavin hires Thunder for his cause and together the two commanders try to kill the creature.

As you and Thunder begin to pump out more reinforcements, Jet has orders from Nero to destroy all of your forces with Tech Lv. 3 Strategic Bombers. Outfitted with a small yield nuclear electron bomb, Jet builds an abundant amount, but attacks the aggressive alien instead pissing Nero off. Nero decides to destroy Jet, and so attacks him with all of his forces in his own base.

Splintered
As the brawl rages on between Jet and Nero, the invading army of Cybran Strategic Bombers brings in the rain to help deal with the alien threat. The small yield nukes injure the Slashing creature to extent, but not enough. Here the player must continue to pump out acidic projectile units to help soften up the creature. As the acid melts the thick and bony hide, Jet's bombers can deliver the payload to destroy the feared creature once and for all. As the creature enters near death it storms towards Nero's base destroying a lot of the lush, and woodland enviroment paving a path for you and Thunder's forces. The operation area expands on last time to reveal Nero's base and a secret underground Cybran bunker facility which was located farther behind.

As Nero sees the wounded Alpha Lock-Jaw Slasher approach, he runs into the bunker where he states that in this bunker lies a quantum gate and that it only be used one more time. As Nero escapes, Jet continues to fight his forces while also being flanked by the massive charging alien. As you and Thunder's forces trail behind, the alien is about to grab Jet's ACU via its mouth, but as it is about to do this Jet suddenly explodes due to many forces. Before Jet dies, he states to destroy their fellow 7 Hand Node Commander and ensure Duragon survives, because he is the only lead in finding the Alpha Symbiont home world as well as the many crucial outposts. As Jet's ACU nuclear explosion goes off, it melts all the organic flesh off of the Alpha Lock-Jaw Slasher, leaving a bony and meaty, black charred skeletal alien to thud upon the ground still squirming around on fire before actually dying.

Personal Reflection
This final mission of "Act 1" would be designed for the player as new experience to fight organic alien life forms each with there own special effects as well as physics and roles they play with the enviroment. These creatures are not some alien race just thrown into the game for you to destroy left and right. It takes lots of tactical strategy and thinking to overcome the beasts of the restricted woodland world. The map alone in this mission would give a new "alien" feel to the player because all of your units are "ant" sized, and all the creatures that hunt you are much more powerful and larger and can also destroy experimentals instantly in some cases, strategic zoom is also affected to an extent because the trees are miles high and their roots that stick out of the ground act as cover as well as passage ways for your forces. Fighting at night also adds a new taste to Supreme Commander and this is when the creatures come out to hunt and gather.

As for the main character Gavin, he loses Sabrina and the UEF scientists to an old enemy mercenary known as Cleave who left in a massive space frigate commanded by his 2nd in command known as "Goliath". Nero escaped to an unkown world via a secret quantum gate, but the other fellow 7 Hand Node commander known as "Thunder" decides to fight for Gavin's cause. As daylight shines, smoke is visible in the distance and both Thunder and Gavin head towards the impact sight, hoping that Dredd survived the night...

Raids of Tyranny: The Abandoned Aeon

New Concept for the Illuminate
In the main story, Gavin the Strato Lord eventually comes across a new world with a desert rocky and mountainous landscape (looks like Fields of Isis). As he is being communicated with, an all new commander appears known as "Lord Angler" who eventually reveals he is the son of the previous ruler known as Lord Glacion, who are actually "aeon" in culture and not Illuminate. Lord Angler is part of a splintered aeon clan known as clan "Forgotten". This specific group of people developed their own culture and technology on a world that was abondoned after the Seraphim invasion and together eventually rebuilt and survived on the desert planet. Originally followers of Princess Burke, the coalition has failed to help them and their new way of life that has seemed to go on for years. New machines and units of war are unique to this clan and can be extremely lethal if not dealt with properly.

Machines of Clan Forgotten
This clan has all sub classes of units just like any other faction, but it is here where Gavin realizes that Clan Forgotten has adapted to some sort of arena based combat and futuristic medeval unit types and weaponry.

Evolvable Artillery: "Spear Pulse"
This unit is a bipedal walker outfitted with a single spear that when thrown arches like any artillery round that detonates in a wide radius. A nano gautlet rebuilds a new spear within its hand giving it a unique weapons outlook on terms of reloading. This artillery unit has also been seen doing "melee spear attacks" if threatend up close, destroying small and lighter forces (a suspected upgrade for this unit).

Tool of War: "Plasma Gladiator"
A robot that rivals your "Grapple Cripplers" whith an all new magnetic absorption shield that can magnetize all matters of projectiles eventually overheating the shield, but saving other forces used by Clan Forgotten. This unit also has been seen with "gravity orb joints" making the machine a bit faster and possibly amphibious.

Utility Machine: "Charismor"
This bipedal machine holds a banner within its hand mysteriously enhancing the Clan's units in terms of speed and accuracy to an extent. The Charismor can also attack and destroy tactical missiles with a very fast beam of light emitted from the tip of the banner.

Prototype Machine: "The Trebulon War Mech"
This all new machine is unique in design that features a massive trebuchet on its back responsible for lobbing massive plasma charged projectiles, but also land based units. It seems that lower tech level units can load upon the mech flinging them long distances sort of like the Noah Unit Cannon, with a much smaller range. The ammo swapping trebuchet is not the only arramnent, smaller laser emitting particle beams are emitted from the arms of the Trebulon as well.

A new culture has arisen and the leader of the new people has taken his father's footsteps of living and adapting to this world. Clan Forgotten has held a grudge against the Illuminate and Coalition for along time, and once in a while lost travelers will be encountered, and the Clan Forgotten have their own special way for dealing with them. Fighting in a giant sand and ice based arena is the only way to prove yourself worthy of surviving and Gavin must prove himself for gaining Lord Angler's trust.

Does nobody know greek or what? Xenophobic means you hate or fear other species, it's not a name. Pretty cool otherwise but that kind of thing really ticks me.
