Legend has it that this planet was the origin of all the Reptilians.
It is said that only souls with a reptilian brain can make this crossing.
The Canal can be the source of life to some and a fate worse than death to others.

Your mission:

Commander it is now time to test your co-op abilities in a region that is very old and surly has many pitfalls for the unsuspecting and inexperienced. Hordes of aliens lay hidden on the isle ready to repel any invaders. We must capture and hold the StarGate located underwater in the central lake of the isle. Our scientists will back-engineer the facility so we can control the portal.

The only Commander known to complete this crossing was an aboriginal named 'Geko'… although he gave his son the following warning the young man did not survive:

“Do not stare into the abyss… it is a direct channel to the underworld… you will lose your soul… just put up a gallant fight my son and nothing evil shall emerge.”

Your Team will drop in the undefended western region, establish a base and proceed east to make the crossing and take control of both land and sea.

TeamPlay Setup --- for excellent AI performance

2 v 2 Sorian Turtle AI
Sorian Turtle AI at top right.
Sorian Turtle AI in bottom right.
Do not use the middle start positions for AI, they are there to allow 3v2AI and 3v3 real player games.
Both AIs are same Aeon faction… Any faction will perform well.
Maximum 1500units - for normal game speed with quads
2 human players teamed against teamed AI.
Resource sharing ON for both teams.
No pre-built bases.
No civilians
Build restrictions – HQ have deemed ‘No Air’. No other restrictions are necessary.
Select ‘Annihilation’ as the victory condition.
Select ‘Allied Victory’ so that the game ends when all AI are destroyed.
New Condition
Set Naval expansions from unlimited to 3…
this is necessary to prevent the AI wasting resources that could have built an experimental, instead building too much navy.
Elite mission …verses 1 Sorian Turtle AI + 1 AIX Sorian Turtle AI
AIX Cheat power set to 1.4 and 1.4(you may need to reduce to 1.2 to enjoy this mission)
Extreme Suicide mission…. Verses 2 AIX Sorian Turtle AI
Order of AI faction difficulty on map:
All factions go well from either end, although it will be somewhat easier if you were to start in the east.
TeamPlay is meant to be HARD. Rating 9+

TeamPlay has only one rule:
All allied Commanders that start must finish the game alive…
If any Commander dies or leaves the mission is lost.
A hollow victory…

This is an Epic battle… allow about 3hrs real-time to complete.

Could you resize this map to 40 x 40 or 80 x 80 ?

If you could could you just replace the sand texture with grass textures as well.

I would do it myself but it seems that most FA maps that I have cannot be opened in Hazard's Editor and resizing by Notepad doesn't work on FA maps,thought it does for SC maps.

Also where do you find Allied Victory & Resource sharing ON ?

I don't have these on my menu as I have the Lobby Enhancement Mod and I never saw this on the vanilla menu.

Sorry m8, I do not feel the need to make huge cumbersome maps that run AI poorly. My maximum size is 20x20 due to the fact that any larger size will give a slowdown with 1000units, as the sim core becomes maxed out. I want my maps to be unique, fast paced and provide 1hr30mins of intense FA pleasure.


You won’t find Allied Victory & Resource sharing unless you are allied to a human or AI partner.
Method:
In game top center dropdown menu [handshake icon],
Diplomacy (F4),
Allies,
Allied Victory Toggle and
Share Resources Toggle.

Sorian AI will share resources and do allied victory with another AI by default. If you set these ON they will remain ON for both human and AI partners.

I also use the Lobby Enhancement Mod… it makes setting up games much easier.

The latest map, that I am now testing, is a 20x20, naval battle with land-linked bases. It runs 4 players with 1000units ok for 2hrs.

Map size ... Area
10x10 =...100
10x20 =...200 <-- this is my most common map size(no slowdowns)
20x20 =...400 <-- sometimes slows at 1hr
40x40 = 1600 <-- expect slowdown b4 1hr
80x80 = 6400 <-- slowdown by 40mins
