Great idea of the 100's of people that read your missive all of them should post whether or not they know the answer, i'm sure you will get all sorts of useful info that way.

edit(placed here so as to not fill up this thread with crap posts that do not belong here):
As you requested i re-read your post, still says the same thing i thought it did. Writing 500 words to describe/explain what your 50 word post meant doesn't change the original post.
If you meant what your 2d post said then my "dolt" comment was inappropriate and wrong. After re-reading what you posted I cannot get the meaning you ascribe to that post. :kisses:

Okay, that was rude and uncalled for. Firstly, you twisted my words into saying something that I didn't, right after quoting my statement. If you want to misinterpret my words, at least don't post the quote that proves you did so.
What I was referring to was the fact that I asked a question. My question was clear, well phrased, concise, and devoid of internet slang. My question was also devoid of spelling and grammatical errors, which I will point out, yours was not. It was a fair question, and one that deserved some answer. I never once stated that every single person should give me some answer; I simple meant that, to be polite, Ziv should have said, "Sorry, can't help you there," or "I don't know", before changing the subject. I have seen it happen so many times it makes me sick. A person asks a fair question, as I did, only to have the next poster jump in with a new subject. The question, by shear bad luck, soon becomes buried, a single post between topics of discussion. The person must then try again, at the risk of being insulted for re-posting his question (because clearly, if everyone acts like the question is never asked, one should telepathically infer that no one knows), or simply go without any response at all.
To add to your fallacy, there is at least one other person with the same question at myself. Again, it is not necessary for every single person to post a response, but at least acknowledge that someone took the time, as so few do on a forum, to ask a question intelligibly and politely.
Ultimately, I'm not sure where this is all going. I'm not looking for an apology, because looking for someone to admit fault on the internet is like looking for a chimpanzee to independently find a cure for cancer. I'm also certainly not expecting you to answer, because if the best courtesy you can pay me is to call me a dolt after you fail to so much read my question (honestly - you just read my second paragraph, decided you disagreed with me, and determined the best course of action was a monosyllabic typographical attack, didn't you?), then I'm really not interested in what you have to say.
And if you did read my question, well, if you're smart enough to determine who is a dolt, and overall what is right and wrong on the internet of all places, then certainly, you must have an answer to my oft-mentioned question. So tell me, where can I get the rest of this fine map pack?
In conclusion, please do not misinterpret this frank exchange of opinion as an insult. I would like to think that I'm better than that, even if you are not. So unless you can contribute meaningfully to the general topic of this map pack, and the myriad sub-topics, including my question, which it has spawned, then please, be on your way. If, however, we can move past this unpleasantness in a cordial manner, I look foreword to further discussion with you on a more civil topic.
Have a pleasant day.
EDIT: After reading your edit, I believe I can understand your position. I'll admit my post could have been clearer, but even if I did mean what you originally thought I did, insults are "inappropriate and wrong", as you said, in any situation. But whatever; I see no need to pursue the subject further. My question is still open, and I still feel the desire for a response is as justified as ever.

Sorry to double post, but I really have no choice. I private messaged The Core Commander five days ago, but he hasn't responded.
I just want to know where I can get Great Divide 2. It appears in the banner advertising this map pack, it is mentioned in the readme, it has been discussed as complete, and screenshots are shown. It is simply not in the map pack, and I want to know where on earth I can get it. Please, if you know, take five minutes out of your day to help someone. Thanks so much to whoever helps.

I mentioned this in a PM to TCC, but I don't think he comes here anymore, or he just has a lot of PMs. Either way, I doubt the FA vault will be seeing much love. I could install SupCom (assuming I can find it; I never thought buying FA would cause GPG to segregate me), but throwing away 2+ hours to install and update, plus 10 GB of hard drive space, seems a bad idea, considering (a) it might not be in the vault after all, and (b) all it would take is for some good person to put the file up on File Front so we can get it properly. Cpl.Facehugger wrote: Will these maps be compatible with/released for FA? The Arm Commander wrote: Of course they will ! And even there appears some problem we will try to fix it as soon as possible. In other words: no worries .
I guess that plan got throttled in its sleep.
Here's what I propose: some kind soul who has SupCom installed go to the vault, DL Gods of War and Great Divide 2, and put them on File Front (or their file hosting site of choice) so everyone can enjoy them. Let's prove once and for all how good this community is!

I have read through this entire thread and I can't remember anyone mentioning metal maps...Metal heck can anyone remember that map?
Why not metal maps eh? Ok so why can we just have a map or maps where I can put mexes anywhere I want? It could make for some epic battles especially on the larger maps say 40x40 and upwards.
There is a mod pack for TA v3.1 from MadTA called UTASP5 which had a fresh GUI and huge amounts of extra cool units, it was pretty well balanced for all intents, personally it (before supcom) was still the best RTS out there, well worth a look for those die hard TA fans.
Otherwise, TCC & TAC and the testers, well done on the fine effort on remaking some of those classic TA maps, be it an emphasis on that ARM worlds

FYI: FA versions of the TA maps are comming, they are getting many visual upgrades.
Urban and 100% water maps as well as a few big 8 player maps for your Phantom and FFA needs are getting in to.
New topic with more info will be in the FA forum a but later.

Awesome! Although I'd prefer to get them now rather than later, I guess I can wait. Nice to know people still support this game.

Urban sounds awesome, but I am wondering how you are planning to do 100% water maps, as FA can't exactly sustain a 100% water economy (Without having a ridiculous number of hydrocarbon deposits...)
@Sublight_: The following metal maps are available here:
Block Wars
Coremageddon
Metal Gridlock
Metal Isles
Over Crude Water
Seven Islands
That thread also lists and links to all know TA map conversions.

I wish my employees did things for me for free!
Thanks MR. Commander

Not all maps listed in the OP were in the zip. I am specifically after "The Great Divide 2" which doesn't appear to be in the zip... Where can I find the missing maps?
I also cannot find the Evad River Confluence which says it is in the vault....

We both have the same problem. Sadly, no one is able or willing to help. Nice to know I'm not alone, though.

sorta... i had to add them to my fa maps dir manually... but it should work in the custom maps dir for fa as well... but i think you need them in both dir (fa and sc) to play them in both games... correct me if im wrong. but yes they work in fa.

While the post above mine is correct, note that, as of now, you must have the original SupCom installed to get them from the vault. Why no one bothers to help their fellow players and put them in the FA vault I don't know.

Just to know...is the map-pack still WIP?
As a fan of TA, it would be great to play on those maps. I know they are available but some have bugs, other are not so good looking.
I was waiting for a pack with those new reworked maps.
So...WIP or MIA my dear TCC?
(mmhhh...acronyms...mhhh yummy)
