No, they banned me from uploading my own vids.
There's a YouTube of it, but the song doesn't play correctly at the start. Use it if you wish.

I have a few comments on the video, I hope they are viewed as constructive criticism, which is how they are intended.
There are definitely some great merits about this video. For a start, the use of camera angles is good, a lot of innovative shots, pans and zooms. Also, the colouring and texturing of the units and the environment look great, very smooth, deep and rich.
On the negative side, I felt that the cut scenes were a bit "over edited", in that it appeared to be a mash up of whole lot of separate events strung together. Each shot was a quick pan or zoom of some action, edited quickly so that you couldn't get drawn in. Also, the video as a statement, didn't seem to have a theme, ie. a preamble, a build up, and a climax. This video starts immediately with action, and continues throughout with the same pace, same feel and focus...which although it contains lots of great action and detail, gives an overall impression of being a bit bland.
Some explanatory text at the beginning so the viewer knows what is going on would be good...a context needs to be provided, so those without experience with SupCom have an idea of what you are showing. We know, as we are familiar with the game.
I think also that sound from the game itself would add to the interest. Just having a soundtrack and nothing else is perhaps an easy way to do things, but having a overlaid soundtrack sort of separates the viewer from the immediacy of the game, whereas having live audio from the game straightaway draws the viewer into the here-and-now of the action on screen. Its more work though, mixing music with the live audio, understood.
Saying this is the best game video ever I think maybe a bit optimistic...for me the SupCom Hi-Def E3 trailer was one of the greatest game videos ever made, as it had these very things I mentioned in the negatives.
Still, the amount of work put into creating this has not gone unappreciated...it is no small task pulling material from the variety of replays like you have here. The video grows on me with every subsequent viewing, which is a good thing,...but then again, every time I watch the E3 trailer I also feel like "SupCom. **** Yeah!"
Keep up the good work!
Astro.

No video ever has a content at the beginning, it makes it boring. This video merely shows all of the coolness of supcom.
I do agree slightly though. It may be insteresting to have a video (Flail 3) perhaps showing events from one match (which of course would have to be rigged somehow to allow for these events). However this may make the video fairly boring I think, unless it was done is the same manner as the e3 trailer, which has risk of it becoming a carbon copy of it.
I loved this video btw

I loved it. The music and constant action was just fabulous imo. It was exactly what I like to think of supcom being.

I think you're mistaking the point of the video. It's a music video, so the key is emotion and connection to the music.
You're asking for more of a game trailer or an edited cinematic replay of a match. That's cool too, but it's not what this video is supposed to be.

I know I'm gonna regret this, but I think this has to be said.

First off, you are completely correct AZ. I don't know why people keep saying, "OMG the scenes are too fast and it's zoomed in too close, and where's the story?!?!? Make the entire video from one game!!!!!"
Hello? This is a completely different kind of video! If you want those things, go watch a video that was made that way. FunkyKong has made several, for instance.
FS2 was never meant to be that way, so stop bashing it for not being that way.
There is no story. There is no overall theme. There is no connection whatsoever between shots. There is no point at all. This is not a trailer. It's just an action vid. It's just a work of synchronization. It's just a music video.
Where were all of these criticisms in the two months prior to release when I posted three(!!!) separate WIPs for exactly this reason? Nobody questioned the style of the vid at any time back then (I just went through all nine pages and confirmed this), so I assumed the concept was acceptable and proceeded accordingly. How can people suddenly start calling it out now? Heck, WIP3 was basically the complete vid, and yet the critics were still AWOL.
If you weren't on the board and/or didn't see those threads, then fine, but nonetheless the "beta" was extensive and completely open to the community. Saying you don't like the very premise of the project now just seems so... I don't know, frustrating I guess.
Nonetheless, I will take heed of these issues in the future.
[/jerkmode]
As for the in-game sound effects: I certainly wanted that, but the slow motion method used to record breaks the sound up. As such, it is missing.

Oh and I recognize parts of the replay too.
Wasn't that the one where you masered the other guy after you got nuked?

Geez, take a chillpill Rake :)
Anyone who's actually read any game forum should be painfully aware that you cant please everyone. And those comments are from people who've misunderstood the purpose of the video anyways, so you dont need to take them to heart.
Besides, almost everyone has praised the video as great work.
(a warning from me... looking at the Freespace SCP video, I think not having ingame sounds is a vast improvment. Its a music video, let people enjoy the music. Having sound effects risks being cheesy.)
Basically you've done the thing, and its great.
Just keep the constructive criticism in mind if you decide to make a NON music video. For example if you were making a video that tells more of a story. Since your music video is now done, and I dont think you can top it, nor should you try :P

I dunno AdmiralZeech, I liked the sound playing in Flail SCP. To me the sound was a defining aspect of freespace, and the video would feel empty if you couldn't experience it at the same time.

You can probably use the FileFront stream, if that's what you're looking for. It plays the song correctly, and it has the embed code listed on the page (right below the orange Download Now picture). I'd test it out on my page and let you know, but I don't want the MySpace guys deleting my account.

Six week bump, 'eh? Heh, why not.
As far as the vid directly leading to sales, you may be interested in this. I wanted to do the same for FA, but alas, it was not to be.

Sometimes you just have to wonder what they are thinking with their lack of marketing savy. Anyways, we all appreciate the time and effort you put into FS1+2 and certainly await another FS under FA!
