I like replays too and watch them frequently, especially when
I do not have time for a 1 hour setons match. Also, I still learn
from replays.
Your best option is to install FAF (
www.faforever.com).
FAF is new SC-FA lobby server and many players use it.
FAF supports steam SC-FA.
Once you have FAF installed you'll find it "updates" SC-FA
to v3616.
Via FAF you can watch livereplays, via the replay tab (bottom right).
However, currently this feature is broken. I hope
and expect this will be fixed soon.
FAF also stores all replays of all games played (via FAF).
You can find the latest here:
http://faforever.com/faf/vault/replays_simple.phpYou can only watch the v3616 replays otherwise you
get desyncs.
Currently replay id 2005xx to 210xxx seem to work, in other words:
not give desyncs. This may change as FAF infinitely updates/balances
this game.
You may want to use some scripting to get replay id 2005xx - 210xxx,
the url to get is:
http://faforever.com/faf/replays/${REPLAY_ID}.fafreplay
Associate *.fafreplay with faforever.exe (not with ForgedAlliance.exe)
and you should be able to watch some replays.
You can also put *.fafreplay in your faf replay folder. FAF will
then show some info about the replay if you click on replay tab.
See faforever forums/wiki for more help/assistance/info.
