So, walls, are they even usfull? By T2, they no longer stop projectiles, as T2 units are taller then the walls, and you have shields. Are they good for stoping units from slipping under your shields and targeting the generators directly? Just what is there use?

They're useful for, as you said, stopping units from slipping under shields. They're also good to put in a ring around a T1 point defense - they'll stop most tank and commander shots intended for it, making it extremely durable for a low, low price. Other than that, they don't have a terrific amount of use. You can use them to restrict enemy troop movements and fool with the already-shitty pathfinding, but it's rare to see them used that way by a decent player.

they're also good for pretend PDs. build nine of them in a square and until the enemy has intel they look like a walled PD. obviously not hugely useful but i used to annoy my padawan with them

A friend loved massing up so many tanks that they couldn't navigate very well, and I use 3x3 blocks of walls to slow them down even more. He shot them initially, but ignored them soon after, as they were nothing more than a minor inconvenience. ...then I started building ones with turrets in them. Took him ages to notice all these five-star PD I had.

Is it true that walling a structure increases it's hp and/or makes the damage it receives lower? I'm not talking about shots that hit the wall.

What often happens is that when a T1 PD is surrounded by walls, tanks shots will not hit the PD but hit the walls instead. For some reason it is important not just to cover the front part with walls, but surround the whole thing, as for some strange reason sometimes the shots will hit the wall section behind the turret and not the turret. Anyways, wall sections have a very large amount of health. and as the tanks are shooting the walls a single turret can take out truly massive numbers of T1 tanks.
The counter, of course, is to simply use T1 mobile arty. They outrange T1 PD, and since the arty shots arc so high, when they land on the turret the turret takes the full damage of the shot, walls or no walls.
Surrounding a structure with walls will not alter in any way the ways number of HP or resistance to fire, it merely can block shots from hitting the structure (sometimes).

I agree with all here.But don't post too much ,otherwise the FAF guys are coming. They once wanted to nerf the walls because they've too much HP ROFL LOL ^^ Prince
