"I know that Diablo3 is a click-to-move type game, but for sufferers of Carpel Tunnel Syndrome, it can be very painful to click that much. Is controller support available in the future, if not, can players use applications such as Xpadder for use with controllers on the computer?
JasonBender: Right-click drive mode allows you to automatically attack while moving when you hold the right mouse button down instead of clicking. Several of us use this to reduce clicks. (You can imagine how many times we've clicked in the process of making the game!)"
Anyone know anything about this mode?

Actually someone rightfully pointed out to me that WASD is total **** in an isometric fixed camera game. You would need a way to rotate your character's facing in order to move in more than 8 directions, and even the fixed directions are unintuitive in isometric compared to how they're normally used.
An analog stick works brilliantly, but not WASD. You need an analog control.

It's not really that bad, you just zigzag a lot. People have been putting up with it for years back in the arcade joystick era.
I would argue that Diablo would benefit from a rotatable camera anyways (or does D3 already have this?). It's a bit annoying that you can see further in one direction, and stuff blocks your view in certain directions, etc.
Reminds me of Ultima 7 where they had some tongue-in-cheek ingame lore explaining why buildings rarely had doors on the north or west sides :)

I love how people can argue vehemently for the non-existence of options that they dont prefer.

gah, was hoping to pick this up when it came out, sadly some unexpected expenses came up so now i have to wait.
i have to agree with Dead, i don't want WASD controls for D3, if blizzard is planning to port it over to a console then analog stick sounds like it would work perfectly.
but personally, from past Diablo games and the short time i plyed in the beta i think i just prefer the current set up as it is.

So how about that showstopping bug that was reported weeks ago in the beta but still exists in the current release? You know, the one where you get kicked out of the game and then are permanently unable to even log back in? Yeah, that bug. Sounds like fun.

Until after you get him as a follower, which is about 10-20 minutes later. Hardly an epic problem. You'd be lucky to actually have a significantly useful shield to give him at that stage in the game anyway.
As an aside, I finished the game on Normal less than 22 hours after it came out. Play Wizard, stack Intelligence and Vitality, pick AoE skills -> easymode.

It's useful to have the Templar heal you up, but he does **** all damage and he dies all the time in boss battles or refuses to enter them, like the final boss fight. ******.

Tried it at a friends house. Was severely tempted to get it due to the number of people I know who play it. Controls are annoying but tolerable since I've played the earlier Diablos. The shiny nostalgia is quite alluring.
But managed to control myself. It helped that the game is rather low-fi and ugly. Also even though I was playing single player, I get network lag teleports and once the game booted me out due to lost connection with server. So meh.

i ended up getting it due to my friends(curse my lack of willpower) having a lot of fun joining together and wreaking everything. I still dislike the lack of abilities i can have at once, since some a really cool and i hate being forced to decide which ones to use.

I've noticed that while some abilities are really cool they're not always very useful. I got disintegrate on my wizard a while ago and I haven't looked back since I got the convergence rune.

Disintegrate is easily the #1 skill for Wizard. It's super easy in virtually any situation to hit lots of enemies for tons of damage.
Elective Mode helps with the skills a lot, but I often still wish I had more than six.
