GPGNet really needs an official, documented and supported way to recover your username.

My hard drive died, taking my copy of GPGN and Supreme Commander with it, unfortunately it's been on auto-login for so long I can't remember what it was. I regret not writing this down somewhere secure.

Now, I've got my purchase receipt, the cd-key, disc and I still use the email account it was created with, but all this appears useless without the unrecoverable username?

The "GPGN Common Issues" thread says to PM "TheCoreCommander" who doesn't exist, there is another thread which says to PM "The_Core_Commander" who does exist, but I haven't heard back from them either.

GPG-Servo is the one to pm about this

PM him about you issue and supply your CD-Key and Email

He will normally get back to you in less then week however it can take longer as its not his full time job.

Thanks Kenquinn

Suggestion stands though, an automated username recovery system for GPGNet would compliment and complete the present recovery systems. Then only people who have lost access to the original email address used for registration would consume GPG staff time in the recovery process.

It does work for some people including me others it does not.

In order to fix the issue someone with knowledge of how GPG-Net works would have to fix it sadly the people who made it no longer work at GPG and when someone was working on it they more often then not broke it in someway. Do to the cost of trying to fix it and what they would get out of it right now fixing it is not an option.

Sorry to hear that buddy hope you recover your account soon.
To prevent happening this you must secure a copy of your username, pass and other important info about your account in a piece of paper just in case you encounter again a problem you have all the data to recover your account.

I think that would be commom sence no?
