ANIMATOR

- Responsibilities:
- Animators will have the opportunity to bring to life a broad range of 3D characters for our original IP projects. Duties will also include facial animation for low- and high-resolution characters.
- Required:
- Degree in Animation or equivalent work experience as an animator.
- Thorough understanding of polygonal modeling, UV texture mapping, character rigging, and 3d animation in 3DS Max/Character Studio (preferred), or Maya.
- Proven ability to apply traditional animation principles to 3d characters.
- Experienced with procedural animation, including cloth simulation, dynamics, and particle-based systems.
- An understanding of human and animal anatomy.
- Strong traditional art background.
- Experience with Photoshop.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.

GRAPHIC DESIGNER
Graphic designers work closely with the marketing and art teams to create web and print materials to support marketing campaigns for the company and our games. Our graphic designers work on a variety of projects and are involved from concept to completion. This position reports to the VP of Art.

- Responsibilities:
- New website design, in close cooperation with marketing and product teams.
- Development of print & web marketing materials, such as print and online ads, corporate print layouts, etc.
- Art production work for existing website updates.
- Creation of high-resolution products for online store, such as posters, clothing, and books.
- Development of product packaging.
- Other responsibilities may include user interfaces and other graphics for our games
- Required:
- Degree in Illustration, Graphic Design, or equivalent work experience as a Graphic Designer.
- Thorough understanding of interface design and usability.
- Proven skills in creating powerful design and marketing materials.
- Experienced web site designer.
- Highly proficient with Photoshop.
- Strong traditional art background.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Desired:
- Previous experience in product packaging
- Flash experience

CONTENT ENGINEER

- Responsibilities:
- Design and implement various game play logic leveraging on core AI engines.
- Design and implement core game play where applicable.
- Design and implement special effects and other content embellishments.
- Required:
- Good working knowledge of scripting languages
- 2+ Years of experience working with an object oriented programming language.
- Good organizational, communication and documentation skills.
- Good aesthetic and game play sensibility.
- Desired:
- Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
- Previous special effects work or MOD experience

SENIOR/LEAD CONTENT ENGINEER

- Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with design, art, production and engineering to implement AI and game play systems.
- Expose engine systems and features to content creators and designers.
- Support team members in content creation and debugging .
- Required:
- 5 years programming experience
- 1 or more shipped titles; console action-adventure experience desired
- Strong debugging and communication skills
- Knowledge of a scripting language (Lua, Python, etc).
- 2D/3D Graphics programming skills
- Strong sense of aesthetics and game play
- Desired:
- Basic understanding of 3D Studio Max
- Previous game modding experience

SYSTEMS ENGINEER (CONSOLE)
Work with other talented engineers to build technology foundations for future titles. Help us build technology that will be leveraged by future engines and future tools.

- Responsibilities:
- Design, implement core game engine components.
- Design, implement low-level tool components.
- Design, implement, and/or modify asset creation work flow(s).
- Required:
- Degree in Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent work experience.
- Mastery of C++ with a minimum of four years C++ work experience.
- Strong debugging skills.
- Desired:
- DB, C#, Windows Forms are a plus but not required.

Gas Powered Games seeks an entry-level Production Assistant to support the Producer and development team.

- Responsibilities:
- Detailed task tracking, review, & daily follow-up
- Daily schedule review and deliverables enforcement
- Daily gameplay
- Asset database tracking
- Initiate and burn builds as requested
- Support Associate Producer and Marketing with screenshots and press deliverables
- Support Producer with additional tasks as assigned
- Required:
- Must be a gamer – love games and game development
- Proficient in MS Office products
